That some religious beliefs clash with the gay rights movement is undeniable. Leaders in Christianity, Judaism, and Islam gathered in Jerusalem to protest the World Pride festival, an event organized by gay leaders to promote tolerance and diversity. As The New York Times noted, “interfaith agreement is unusual in Israel”; it was the protest of a gay rights festival in which these leaders found common ground. When the first World Pride festival took place in Rome, Pope publicly conveyed his distaste for the event.
The clash between religion and the advancement of the gay rights movement is also present and has taken the form of litigation. Religious Freedom and Homosexual rights are and will clash. This is a research paper on the topic - here
