Australia: Labor confused over homosexual marriage
These social conservatives, mind you, have played a blinder. They have convinced the cabinet to approve a proposal utterly doomed from its inception. It has absolutely no chance of passing the Senate and that refusal could well pave the way for a delay of several years in any change to the laws on same-sex marriage. This would be a good thing in that the destruction that homosexual marriage brings with it will be clearly seen. The lies, manipulations, false argument, unhealthy destructive behaviour of some homosexuals. The abuse of anybody who stands against anything LGBTQ.
Bill Shorten and many others who support same-sex marriage seem terrified by the prospect of a real public debate on this issue. Australians can be trusted but many of our pollies can't be trusted to conduct a civil discussion on a contentious issue. We saw the confused illogical 'family argument' last week from Labor's deputy. It clearly shows no understanding of what homosexual marriage will do to Australia.
Why the PM agreed to the $15m I will never know. We don’t need letterboxes full of pamphlets or a barrage of emails to know what this debate is about. Most Australians at some stage have been involved in a discussion about same-sex marriage and have made up their minds. However, the media and LGBTQ have presented a certain image of "Love Equality' which is now being eroded by by violent gay advocates and further research out of John Hopkins stating sexual orientation, gay genes, trangenderism doesn't even exist.
Labor, the Greens and many from the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex community are wedded to this idea that only the parliament can be trusted and somehow the great unwashed out there must remain mere spectators.
The Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras has an attendance of up to a 200,000 people. It has become a popular part of Sydney’s culture. But it is only Sydney not Australia. It is one city alone filled with a radical element in one suburb. If the Greens and the huge majority of Labor MPs and senators who want change continue on their present course, they may well be a roadblock to reform rather than a catalyst.
Brandis had designed an utterly fair deal for the plebiscite apart from the $15m that is going a long way to destroying the bill’s chances. If the Liberals can’t hold Warren Entsch, who has been at the forefront of true liberalism since this saga began, then you really are in strife.
