Hardware store supports gay agenda

For several years, Home Depot has thrown its support behind activism; now it has indicated that it will continue to do so despite being handed a petition with almost half a million names asking the company to “remain neutral in the culture war.”
According to the American Family Association (AFA), Home Depot has chosen to sponsor and participate in numerous gay pride parades and festivals.
AFA charges that by conducting kid’s craft workshops at special booths targeting youngsters, the company has deliberately exposed small children to the lewd displays of sexual conduct by homosexuals and cross-dressers that are a common occurrence at these events.
On Thursday, June 3, the AFA delivered 474,161 petition signatures to Home Depot chairman Frank Blake at the company’s annual shareholders meeting in Atlanta.
AFA Vice-president Buddy Smith appealed to Chairman Blake to review Home Depot’s extensive support for homosexual activism and direct the company toward neutrality in the culture war.
“We presented to the shareholders and to the chairman and the board of directors over 470,000 signature petitions asking them to remain neutral in the culture war, specifically when it addresses gay marriage and homosexual activist groups,” Randy Sharp, AFA’s director of special projects toldOneNewsNow.
AFA reported that Chairman Blake quickly discounted the petitions by reaffirming Home Depot’s commitment to dedicating corporate resources to groups who advocate gay “marriage” and the advancement of the gay and transgender agenda.
“I hope all of our shareholders understand that we’re a company that respects the diversity of our associates, our customers, and the communities where we do business,” Blake told shareholders at the meeting. (Listen to his full reply here.)
Randy Sharp remarked, “We’re disappointed that The Home Depot continues to close the door and not listen to the millions of customers who are offended that they are engaging in the culture war and taking a position in favor of gay marriage.”
On its website, The Home Depot states that it “is honored to say we support the following diversity-oriented organizations:” - The Human Rights Campaign, Out and Equal Workplace Advocates and Diversity Best Practices, all of which support the radical homosexual marriage agenda in America.
In its “2011 Guide to companies, products and services that support lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender workplace inclusion,” Human Rights Campaign listed Home Depot in the top 20 national retailers for promoting homosexuality.
Human Rights Campaign noted that Home Depot offers:
- Full health insurance benefits to homosexual employees and “partners.” The Home Depot recognizes two homosexual men who sleep together as “married.”
- Insurance for complete sex-change operations.
- Requires some employees to attend diversity (homosexual acceptance) training.

The AFA reports that Home Depot is sponsoring “Southern Maine Pride” in Portland, Maine this weekend.
Last year, Home Depot set up a kid’s workshop booth at this event, thereby exposing children to “drag queens,” nudity, and other homosexual activities.
Tim Wildmon, President of the AFA, said that his organization will continue promoting a boycott of Home Depot until it agrees to remain neutral in the homosexual culture war. He urged concerned people to sign the pledge to not do business with The Home Depot until the company agrees to stop financing and promoting homosexuality.
Monica Cole, director of One Million Moms, a grass roots project of the AFA, said, “Let Home Depot know you are sickened by their support and approval of children at homosexual events,” by joining the boycott. Cole also encourage supporters to call their local store manager and politely let him know they are boycotting Home Depot.
