Liberal Pastor says homosexual sin is an arbitrary religious belief

Rev. Paul Raushenbush says:
By accepting the case of the Colorado baker who refused to bake a cake for a homosexual couple, the Supreme Court is opening up the possibility that an arbitrary religious belief might be used to sanction discrimination and refusal of service to a citizen. Religious freedom is a foundational principle of our country, something we should all hold sacred. However, when one person’s beliefs turn into actions that trample on the dignity of another, freedom of religion morphs into deified discrimination.
Unfortunately, Raushenbush doesn't believe the Bible that homosexuality is not a sin but a dignified lifestyle choice. His words, mean if Jesus were to condemn a sinner in effect Jesus is - 'trampling the dignity of another.' Even for a liberal, the argument is weak.

Are homosexual pride marches dignified or just an excuse for overt sexual nudity? Rev. Paul Raushenbush goes further clearly implying he is not a pastor of the Christian biblical faith at all -

While I have no reason to doubt the sincerity of Jack Phillips’ religious beliefs, they are, in fact, arbitrary, and increasingly less prevalent within the Christian church as more of us welcome lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer congregants.
Unfortunately, America has a long history of people using religion to legitimate abhorrent and blasphemous treatment of others. One only need to look back a the treatment of interracial couples to find sincere Christians citing Biblical beliefs to legislate against the love shared between couples of different races. Those yelling loudest for this “religious freedom” are captives to fear. They fear the way it will affect religion itself as they witnesssee more and more people of faith realize that supporting LGBTQ equality is part of being faithful in the 21st century.

Rev. Paul Raushenbush, Auburn Seminary in New York again uses a false homosexual argument comparing inter-racial marriage male and female with male on male homosexual relationship. They are different and he knows that very clearly - the logic is absent. His greatest error of course is his final statement - Christians be faithful to the 21st century and not to Christ!
