Does God give the gift of the sin of homosexuality?
Does God give the gift of the sin of homosexuality?
Is there a gay gene?
The scripture call homosexuality a sin. There are degrees of sin. Christ states the person who betrayed him had performed a greater sin. The Apostle Paul when listing evidence of the rejection of God from nature, which was seen and understood, rejected their natural God-given desires, and God handing them over to the consequences of their sin. Paul lists lesbianism first then make homosexuality as examples of extreme sin of humanity.
Scripture clearly states that homosexuality is a sin regardless of arguments by LGBT, cotton shirts, lobster restrictions. The moral code from the Old Testament comes across into the new and is reinforced.
No where in scripture does it say God gives the gift of homosexuality. Scripture does directly say that God is the giver of good gifts but homosexuality is not listed as a gift but a sin.
To infer that God gives gifts of sin through the Holy Spirit to humans; is to imply that God is evil, not good, not holy, not righteous, and in so doing impinges his holiness as performing the work of Satan. Would thid classify as blasphemy?
God may remove his grace off a person - and permit Satan to oppress, possess, steal kill then destroy. This would be a form of judgement by God. Scripture does record the removal of grace and an evil spirit attacking a person.
Homosexuality is not a gift from God. The gift of God is forgiveness of the sin of homosexuality when repentance occurs, turning from sin to Christ.
