Apostle Paul and Homosexuaity

Image
Paul's meaning of “unrighteous” is explained by the list of vices that make up most of verses 9 and 10. Notably, the only sin listed in these verses that is not also listed and identified as a sin in Leviticus 18–20 is drunkenness. Obviously, then, the entire teaching of that passage must be allowed to have its full weight in the interpretation of Paul’s list of sins that defines the lives of those who are “unrighteous.” Outside of the constant assertion that the Christian Scriptures are simply not able to address the “modern” concept of homosexuality (including orientation), the controversy over the passage is summed up in the meaning of the term translated by the NASB as homosexuals. The Greek term is arsenokoites, and almost every revisionist attempt to remove 1 Corinthians 6:9 (and 1 Timothy 1:10) from the discussion of homosexuality in the Bible is focused on narrowing the meaning of this term in such a way as to allow for at least forms of homosexual expression if not the ent...

Some homosexual objections to the Bible

Image
1. Objection Stated Paul is not giving a binding, for-all-time concept here, but is speaking only about what was then “natural” in a conventional or social sense . Biblical Response The basis of Paul’s discussion in Romans 1, aside from establishing the very foundation upon which he intends to present the gospel for all people (and, it can be argued, for all time), gives us no hint that the author intends his words to be limited geographically or temporally. The concepts he presents reach back to creation itself, apply over and beyond all cultural boundaries, and speak to men and women at the very level of their existence, not merely in their cultural climate. It is to completely remove the passage from its original context and purpose to say that it merely speaks to what is “unusual” and hence to be avoided for the mere sake of appearance. Human convention or social morality is not in Paul’s thinking here, for he grounds his words in God’s creative purpose and decree. This argument is...

Loudoun County Public Schools declares October ‘LGBTQ+ History Month’

Image
Progressive Loudoun County, Virginia, Public Schools (LCPS), nationally famous for promoting, protecting, and enforcing leftist pro-LGBT policies while attempting to criminalise conservative parents and students , has again officially declared October as “LGBTQ+ History Month.”  The LCPS Board narrowly approved the move, voting largely along partisan lines. “The parents of Loudoun County should question what we are teaching our students with this particular history proclamation,” said board member Deana L. Griffiths, who voted against the proclamation.  “Loudoun County Public Schools just declared October ‘LGBTQ+ History Month’ and told staff and students to celebrate radical gender ideology,” noted a concerned Loudoun County parent on X.  “Thousands of Loudoun families reject that ideology, and their beliefs are not bigotry; they are grounded in biology, faith, and common sense,” she said.  “A public school district has no business endorsing contested gender claims...

Clergy abuse survivor confronts bishop over homosexual’s parish role

Image
A devout Catholic is voicing his concern that an active homosexual is continuing to serve in his church’s music ministry and has been promoted to an administrative church position despite the bishop and pastor’s knowledge that his lifestyle defies Church teaching. Leo Martinez, a clerical abuse survivor, told LifeSiteNews he requested a meeting with his local bishop, Peter Baldacchino of the Diocese of Las Cruces, to discuss three matters, one of which was the public ministry of this openly homosexual man. Martinez requested a private meeting, but the bishop insisted that Martinez’s pastor, Father Joseph Pacquing, also attend. Martinez brought his brother as well. Martinez said he told Baldacchino during the April 22 meeting that his parish is aware of the music minister’s homosexual relationship and that his position as a music minister has been held “for a long time,” at least 20 years. The pastor, Fr. Pacquing, reportedly told Martinez that the minister does not receive Holy Commun...

Alito calls same-sex ‘marriage’ ruling a ‘decisive’ blow to religious liberty

Image
A new collection of remarks by U.S. Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito highlights the conservative jurist’s conviction that the forced redefinition of marriage to include same-sex couples marked “perhaps the decisive point in our nation’s turn against religious liberty.” This month ,  So Ordered was published , which articulates Alito’s judicial philosophy through speeches he delivered over  his career, organised by topic. ABC News noted that among the subjects is 2015’s fateful Obergefell v. Hodges ruling in which the nation’s highest court forced all 50 states to recognise homosexual unions as marriages. Alito was among the dissenters. The justice, a Catholic appointed by former President George W. Bush, has discussed the case various times in the past as captured in the book, including a 2018 speech explaining that he “expressed my worry that equating the expression of certain views with bigotry — or, if you like, with dignitary harm — would drive believers out of public ...

‘Trans’ accomplice allegedly helped Tumbler Ridge shooter plan attack

Image
According to information shared at a joint Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) and FBI press conference on October 6, the trans-identifying Tumbler Ridge gunman who went on a shooting spree earlier this year in Tumbler Ridge, British Columbia, allegedly had a transgender-identifying accomplice. On February 10, 18-year-old Jesse Strang — falsely identified by much of the Canadian press as female — killed his mother and 11-year-old stepbrother before heading to Tumbler Ridge High School, where he killed a teacher and five children (three 12-year-old girls, a 12-year-old boy, and a 13-year-old boy) and injured more than 25 before shooting himself. In the immediate aftermath, the RCMP referred to the shooter as “ the deceased gunperson ” to avoid referring to the trans-identifying shooter as male. The term has never before been officially used, and it made headlines in The Sun, the New York Post, Sky News, GB News, and elsewhere. When asked, an RCMP spokesperson stated , “We identify the ...

Forced LGBTQ indoctrination on boy

Image
All he wanted to do was protect his son from being indoctrinated with LGBTQ+ ideology… …but his son's school district refused to honor all of his opt-out requests. Konstantin Averkiev is a Christian with sincere religious beliefs about sex, gender, and marriage. So he's raising his young son with those same beliefs. Knowing that his son could be exposed to lessons that contradict those beliefs at school, Konstantin asked his son's teacher for advance notice about any LGBTQ+ instruction so he could opt his son out of those lessons. The teacher agreed— but then his son was subjected to a Pride Month lesson that discussed "gender change" surgery anyway. When Konstantin notified the school, officials ignored him . Then his school district turned down most of his requests to opt out of LGBTQ+-related instruction and requirements. Now his son could be subjected to LGBTQ+-related counseling sessions, compelled use of "preferred pronouns," and sharing intimate ...
