Planned Parenthood took advantage of Mother’s Day
to promote the antithesis of empowered motherhood: abortion.
On its Twitter account, the nation’s largest
abortion provider celebrated abortion and gender fluidity on the holiday
dedicated to honoring mothers and the sacrifices they make for their children:
“Planned Parenthood works every day to promote healthy, planned
motherhood all over the world, and to support moms of all ages, races, and
walks of life,” the abortion giant posted on Facebook. “We wish you a
Happy Mother's Day!”
According
to its own annual report, Planned Parenthood ripped
323,999 children out of their mothers’ wombs during the fiscal year
2014-2015.
Planned
Parenthood’s work promoting “healthy, planned motherhood all over the world”
includes supplying to women hormonal birth control that the World Health Organization labels a class 1 carcinogen; killing Tonya Reaves during a botched abortion;
and cooperating with China’s coercive one-child policy and
failing to condemn forced abortions in the United States.
The
article on “gender queer” parenting that Planned Parenthood tweeted highlighted
same-sex parenting between a “gender queer person” and her partner.
“Janelle
doesn’t identify with the term ‘mom’ and is in the process of figuring out
their own gender expression and identity… but what does that all mean when they
are the one pregnant with a baby?” the article asked, accidentally
acknowledging the humanity of the child in the womb.
“When I
thought about having the second baby, I thought it would be like taking out the
trash, someone has to do it and it would be fair in a same-sex relationship,”
said Janelle, who lamented how connected to “gender stuff” like breastfeeding
pregnancy is.
For an organization
that touts itself as pro-woman and pro-motherhood, Planned Parenthood certainly
has a funny way of showing it.
