Ad counters Toronto school board pro-homosexual curriculum
TORONTO, September 29, 2011 - A full page ad was published in the National Post on Saturday, Sept 24, arguing that the Toronto District School Board ’s pro-homosexual curriculum is corrupting and confusing children. The ad , sponsored by The Institute for Canadian Values (ICV), shows a large picture of a little girl with the header, “Please! Don’t confuse me.” Below the photo, the youngster says, “I’m a girl. Don’t teach me to question if I’m a boy, transsexual, transgendered, intersexed or two spirited.” The ad specifically addresses the TDSB’s policy of forbidding parents to opt-out of the pro-homosexual curriculum. “Mr. Premier, you promised to remove this from my classroom but my teachers are still being forced to teach your curriculum. “My Mommy says she is not allowed to withdraw me from class. You are forcing her too.” The TDSB Equity curriculum, called ‘ Challenging Homophobia and Heterosexism ,’ instructs teachers to encourage boys and girls “to play opposite roles.” “...
