An Oregon mother is once again free to adopt children in need now that a settlement has been finalised in her fight for the right not to affirm LGBT ideology. As covered last year by LifeSiteNews, Jessica Bates is a “devout Christian and widowed mother of five” who sought to adopt but objected to the Oregon Department of Human Services’s requirement that adoptive parents “affirm” children’s “gender identity” and was disqualified for refusing to use opposite-sex pronouns, take children to “pride” parades or give them puberty blockers or cross-sex hormones. Several female inmates spoke out about a male pedophile in a Minnesota women's prison who allegedly has exposed himself and composed rape poetry. COLOGNE, Germany  — A petition has been launched protesting the sentencing of Fr. Dariusz Oko for his work exposing sexual abuse in the Catholic Church. On Friday, Fr. Oko, a Polish professor, and 90-year-old German professor Fr. Johannes Stöhr will go to trial in Cologne for their work exposing homosexual abuse in the Catholic Church. A petition has been launched to revoke the sentence.  In 2021, the Cologne District Court claimed that Fr. Oko’s article titled “On the need to curb homosexual cliques in the Church” constituted “incitement to hatred” against homosexuals. According to Polish magazine Wprost , the court demanded that Fr. Pope John Paul II’s Polish diocese is embracing immoral gender ideology, even going so far as to welcome a gender-confused “trans” activist into its synodal process. The Archdiocese of Krakow released its Report of Synodal Work , marking the conclusion of the first stage of the Second Pastoral Synod. Both were influenced by 54-year-old trans activist Maria Minakowska (born Marek Jerzy Minakowski).  The document proposes creating pastoral “safe havens” for LGBTQ+ individuals modelled on the ecumenical association “ Wiara i Tęcza ” (“Faith and Rainbow”).  It also calls for open dialogue with modernist ideology, respect for individual conscience regardless of choices, and rejection of both traditional norms and “stigmatising” language, such as calling gender ideology a “plague.” The Krakow Synod is led by Grzegorz Ryś, who was created a cardinal by Francis on September 30, 2023.
