National Day of Pink - forces everybody to obey - claims celebrates diversity?

Some schools have gay–straight alliances or similar groups to counter homophobia and bullying and provide support for LGBT students in school. (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) On the announcement by Ontario school boards that in conjunction with newly imposed “ Gay-Straight Alliance ” clubs, they would be holding a “National Day of Pink,” Steyn’s sarcasm turns acidic. “ Er , I don’t think I have a lot of choice on that front, do I? ‘For schools holding Anti-Bullying events in April, you still have time to order [pink] shirts at a discount.’ That’s great news! Nothing says ‘celebrate diversity’ like forcing everyone to dress exactly the same, like a bunch of Maoists who threw their workers’ garb in the washer but forgot to take the red flag out.” Diversity, as it happens, is where Steyn says “nations go to die.” Canada is one example. “If local Mennonites or Amish were segregating the sexes and making them enter by different doors for religious services in a Toronto grade-school

School board protests Catholic teachers union’s decision to march in Gay immoral sinful Pride

The Ontario English Catholic Teacher’s Association ’s decision to march in the upcoming World Pride parade in Toronto has outraged the trustees with at least one Ontario school board.  This past Tuesday trustees with the York Catholic District School Board , situated just north of Toronto, passed a motion to send a letter to OECTA asking them to change their minds and withdraw from the event.  The York board is the first Ontario Catholic school board to make a public statement against the decision by OECTA to participate in the pride parade, known for its displays of full nudity, simulated sex acts, sadomasochism, and sexual bondage.  The motion proposed by Trustee Cathy Ferlisi and seconded by Trustee Teresa Ciaravella directs that a letter to be written to OECTA asking their membership not to participate in the parade, because it would send the wrong message to students about what the Catholic Church teaches on marriage and family.  According to the statement, parti

TORONTO, March 11, 2014  The Ontario English Catholic Teachers Association took another step in its promotion of the homosexual agenda Monday as it announced it would march in Toronto ’s WorldPride parade on June 29. The association, which represents the province’s 45,000 teachers and plays a large role in their professional and spiritual formation, passed a motion at its AGM this weekend to organize a delegation for the homosexual activist event. “Registering for, and marching in, the World Pride Parade is a visible symbol of solidarity with one of the most marginalized groups in the Catholic community,” reads a “rationale” attached to the motion, which required a simple majority to pass. Though it’s often billed as “family friendly,” Toronto Pride is known for its displays of full frontal nudity, simulated sex acts, sadomasochism, and sexual bondage. Jack Fonseca, a spokesman for Campaign Life Catholics, said the decision is an “all out rebellion against the Catholi

Gay student files human rights suit against Catholic school, alleges pattern of ‘homophobia’

MISSISSAUGA, Ontario , February 19, 2014  A homosexual student has filed a human rights complaint against his former French Catholic high school for what he calls a pattern of “homophobia” he says he experienced while being a student there. Christopher Karas, a graduate of École Secondaire Catholique Ste-Famille and current student at Humber College , said his $25,000 suit filed at the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario at the end of January is not about trying to change sexual morality in Catholic schools. “I’m not changing anything. The whole [Catholic] faith is based around acceptance. It’s based around respect and love. And to teach hate and to tell people that they should hate people because of who they love, that is not OK, that is not acceptable, and I won’t allow it,” he  told   Jim Richards on News Talk 1010  recently. In addition to seeking $25,000 in compensation, Karas is asking for a written apology and seven “public interest remedies,” including amendment o

Dalton McGuiny (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) A group that has been pushing for the reinstatement of the controversial sex education curriculum that was dropped by the Ontario Liberal government after outrage from parents and family organizations has started a new campaign hoping to sway public opinion. A coalition of groups spearheaded by the Ontario Physical Health Education Association (OPHEA) is trying to create public acceptance for the curriculum that was shelved in 2010 by running newspaper ads, hosting a website, and holding public meetings in an attempt to white wash the sex ed program. OPHEA will hold a public meeting today, Tuesday, Dec 10th at 7pm, at David Lewis Public School, 130 Fundy Bay Blvd (near Warden Ave. & McNicoll Ave.), Toronto . "You may have heard about the ads the sex-ed activists are running in newspapers this month trying to persuade the public that there is huge public demand to update the sex ed curriculum," said Teresa Pierre, Ph

DUBLIN, November 4, 2013 ( LifeSiteNews.com ) – A week after  the failure  by Northern Ireland ’s health minister to stop homosexual adoption in the province, the Republic of Ireland’s Deputy Prime Minister has said he seeking to bring the practice south. Eamon Gilmore , who is also the head of the militantly pro-abortion Labour Party, told a Labour Youth conference last week that legislation to allow same-sex partners to adopt children must precede a planned referendum on same-sex “marriage”. A referendum is tentatively set for autumn 2014 or spring 2015, according to the  Irish Independent .  Irish Deputy Prime Minister Eamon Gilmore “Any referendum that takes place will have to be about marriage equality and not about other issues,” Gilmore said.  Justice Minister   Alan Shatter  is reported to be drafting a law that would bring the Republic into line with its northern neighbour.  The news comes close on the heels of a decision this October by a High Court judge in

‘They want the nation’s police force’: Ontario police LGBT guidelines written by gay activist

Image
TORONTO, November 7, 2013 ( LifeSiteNews.com ) – Ontario ’s police leaders have released a “best practices document ” written by a gay activist lawyer that they say will help “strengthen relationships” between LGBTQ groups and police. But critics say it will be used to silence those who believe in traditional values. “This document sends a strong signal to our LGBTQ communities and to everyone in our police organizations, that police are determined to proactively address issues that are of importance to our LGBTQ citizens, their families, and their friends,” said Chief Paul Cook, president of the Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police (OACP), in a  press release .  However, Jack Fonseca of Campaign Life Coalition called the guidelines “pure propaganda designed to give the instruments of power to radical homosexual activists, so they can be used later on to punish those who disagree with their lifestyle.”  Gwen Landolt, lawyer and National Vice President of REAL Women Ca
