Transgender activists accused of attempting to shut down debate
Transgender activists have been accused of attempting to shut down debate, as a former children’s minister said that young people’s welfare is being “sacrificed on the altar of political correctness”. It's all the rage to confuse kids and their gender. Homosexuals have succeeded in promoting the sin of homosexuality as something good and anybody who simply disagrees is called intolerant a hater, a 1950's backward moralizer. Now transgender advocates are doing the same poor abusive argument style - shut down and abuse anybody who disagrees.
CONFUSION AND HOMOSEXUAL BAD IDEOLOGY
The women’s minister is facing a backlash after saying that she is “a little cautious” about the number of teenagers undergoing gender reassignment treatment. In other words - its trendy at the moment! Everybody thinks they are not who they are! Transgender is now being clearly revealed as a mental health problem. Kids are being confused by LGBT ideology being taught and permitted at school, in the media and sung by artists.
LGBT+ campaigners accused her of making "damaging" comments and warned that people's "lives are at stake". But this is the standard response. They didn't mention suicide?
Tim Loughton, a Tory MP and former children’s minister, said that Ms. Atkins is “absolutely right” to be cautious about children “rushing” to change their genders.
“Nobody is trying to suppress the right of young people to express themselves and their sexuality in any way,” he told The Daily Telegraph. But what a stupid statement, illogical, not based on science just gay ideology.
“Of course we should be cautious and give them all the support they need on life-changing decisions about their gender. My concern is that those who have a political agenda seem to want to sacrifice the welfare of children on the altar of political correctness and equalities whereas every child needs to be respected and supported in their own right. This is about individuals, not other people’s agendas.”
Politicians and academics have expressed concern at the way in which the “transgender lobby” are so quick to close down discussions.
James Caspian, a psychotherapist who specializes in working with transgender people, said: “What’s so incredible is that if anyone says anything critical about transgender [issues], this lobby comes out and just attack the people who are saying it rather than taking on board what they are saying and discussing it.”
Frank Furedi, emeritus professor of sociology Kent University, added:
“There is an assumption that there’s only one truth, one story you can tell and anyone who raises doubt or caution is immediately dismissed as a violator of human rights. It indicates that this is beyond discussion and all you can do is nod your head and shut up. In a democratic society that sets a very dangerous precedent. My concern is that those who have a political agenda seem to want to sacrifice the welfare of children on the altar of political correctness and equalities whereas every child needs to be respected and supported in their own right."
Figures released by the Tavistock Clinic, the only NHS unit specializing in child gender issues, show that in 2017-18 it received 2,519 referrals, compared to just 314 in 2012-13. The NHS has estimated that two million people in Britain will question their gender in coming years. It is trendy and popular at the moment - but dangerous.
Jacob Rees-Mogg, a Conservative MP, said Ms. Atkins has approached the issue in a "mild and thoughtful way", adding:
Jacob Rees-Mogg, a Conservative MP, said Ms. Atkins has approached the issue in a "mild and thoughtful way", adding:
"It is unfortunate that others have responded to her comments so aggressively in the hope that they can shut down debate. The point of free speech is that people have to be allowed to say things that you do not agree with."
Nick Boles, a Tory MP and supporter of immoral LGBT so-called rights, said it is “incredibly important” not to be “shut down by people taking offence”.
"While I might not agree with every element of what Victoria has said I absolutely believe she should have the right to say it but it is her duty to say it," he said. "It is important that we can discuss these things with proper care and attention.”
