Belfast bakers lose appeal in discrimination case after refusing to bake ‘gay marriage’ cake

Image
Defeated but undeterred, Belfast baker Daniel McArthur stood in front of  the British Court of Appeal building and asserted that the Equality Law under which he had been convicted of discrimination against homosexuals “has to be changed.” Then the evangelical Christian made an unusually fervent declaration of faith as he stood with wife Amy and parents Karen and Colin McArthur, the owners of the small chain of seven bakeries he manages. “We are thankful to God who has been faithful to us through everything. He is still on the throne of Heaven and of Earth. He is our God and we worship and honor him.” In 2015, the McArthurs were convicted in a Belfast court of discrimination for refusing to bake a cake ordered by homosexual activist Gareth Lee showing two Sesame Street characters and the message: “Support Gay Marriage.” As McArthur explained Monday morning, “The judges accepted that we did know Mr. Lee was gay and he was not the reason we declined the order. It was ne...

Alberta NDP gvmt closes down Christian home-schooling association – pretense funding – truth – gay policy

Image
Alberta ’s largest Christian home-schooling association has been effectively shut down by the province’s NDP government after it found what Education Minister David Eggen called a “fail[ure] to demonstrate accountability of funding received from the government of Alberta.” But the association is denying wrongdoing. “WISDOM/Trinity has been shut down by AB Education. They announced this with a press release filled with partial truths amounting to calumny,” the association stated in a press release on Tuesday. An ; audit by the ministry   found what it claimed to be various spending irregularities of taxpayer dollars. In Alberta, each home-schooled child under the wing of a private school such as WISDOM/Trinity is   allotted   $1,670 of taxpayer funds to cover learning expenses such as curriculum. The audit claimed to find that money that should have been spent on educating students was used to fund inappropriate expenses such as babysitting, funeral expen...

Roy Cooper wants men in women's change rooms?

Image
Not long ago, North Carolina's governor, Pat McCrory , signed an important common-sense law stopping men from gaining access to intimate facilities like restrooms and showers that are reserved for girls and women. We strongly applaud Governor McCrory‘s leadership, but the left has gone crazy — targeting him for defeat with hateful, orchestrated attacks. Governor McCrory's opponent, state Attorney General Roy Cooper , has come out in favor of allowing men into women's restrooms, and he's raising millions from LGBT extremists. What Roy Cooper isn't telling voters is that he's siding with convicted sex offenders like Chad Sevearance-Turner who helped lead the campaign in Charlotte to open female restrooms and showers to men like him. We've got to stop Roy Cooper and those that are backing his dangerous bathroom policy. That's why NOM has co-sponsored this powerful new TV ad with our friends and allies at the NC Values Coalition. Please watch it now...

Australia: Melbourne teacher refuses to teach ‘lewd’ safe schools and respectful relationships program

Image
A MELBOURNE high school teacher says she would refuse to teach “lewd” material in the Victorian government ’s mandatory respectful relationships program to be introduced in all state schools next year. Moira Deeming, a teacher and mother-of-three, said she was shocked by the content and would rather be fired from her job than teach such “sleazy, unnecessary drivel” to her students. Ms Deeming, 33, said educating children as young as 12 about porn and getting them to have classroom discussions about masturbation and sex was not appropriate and would not help to stop gender-based violence and discrimination as the program intended. Under the program, children as young as prep are also being introduced to same-sex relationships through children’s books, including Tango Makes Three, a tale about two male penguins who adopt a baby penguin. The book has been banned in Singapore and after parent outrage was scrapped from some school libraries in the UK and the US . It also featured in ...

LifeWay Stops Selling Jen Hatmaker Books over LGBT Beliefs

Image
One of evangelical women’s favorite authors loses her place in one of America 's largest Christian chains Jen Hatmaker ’s recent remarks affirming LGBT relationships have lost her bestselling books a place on the shelves of LifeWay Christian Stores. The Southern Baptist chain stated Thursday that the author’s statements “contradict LifeWay’s doctrinal guidelines,” and it has discontinued selling her books in its 185 stores or online. Spokesman Marty King said: In the past, LifeWay Christian Resources published several resources with Jen Hatmaker. In a recent interview, she voiced significant changes in her theology of human sexuality and the meaning and definition of marriage—changes which contradict LifeWay’s doctrinal guidelines. Hatmaker declined to comment on the decision. LifeWay’s B&H Publishing released her 2012 book 7: An Experimental Mutiny Against Excess. Her most recent title, For the Love (Thomas Nelson), is a New York Timesbestseller. In an interview publi...

Christian author thinks same sex sin is holy?

Image
Days after Jen Hatmaker sat down for what would become an infamous interview with Jonathan Merritt of Religion News Service , LifeWay bookstores have decided to pull her titles from their shelves. In that interview , Hatmaker articulated her changing view of same-sex marriage. She said she believed a same-sex marriage could be holy and that we as the church “have to do better” at treating the LGBT community like family. The interview with Merritt was published on October 25, 2016. Two days later, LifeWay spokesman Marty King spoke to Baptist Press , saying, “In a recent interview, [Hatmaker] voiced significant changes in her theology of human sexuality and the meaning and definition of marriage—changes which contradict LifeWay’s doctrinal guidelines.” The Christian bookstore chain has decided to discontinue selling Hatmaker’s resources as a result of the interview. This is not the first time Hatmaker has said something on the topic of homosexuality that has caused waves in the C...

UN agency paid to promotes ‘LGBT rights’ for students

Image
With a new  publication , UNESCO has joined the list of UN agencies advocating for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender lies and agenda. The report advocates inserting LGBT materials into public school curriculum worldwide by means of a UN General Assembly mandate aimed against bullying. Last May, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) launched “ Out in the Open ,” a first-ever survey on “Education sector responses to violence based on sexual orientation and gender identity/expression.” Generously supported by the government of the Netherlands , the report claims that “LGBT students” report a higher prevalence of violence at school than their non-LGBT peers. In particular, the authors argue that “students who are perceived not to conform to prevailing sexual and gender norms, including those who are lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender (LGBT), are more vulnerable.” The study uses controversial data provided by LGBT ad...

Australian Politician: Susan Lamb and her faulty sodomy argument

Image
Australian Coat of Arms (adopted 1912) (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) A federal Labor MP has fought back tears while calling for homosexual marriage during an emotional maiden speech to Parliament .  Susan Lamb defeated former Coalition minister Wyatt Roy to win the seat of Longman in Queensland . She reflected on becoming a mother while still a teenager and praised her family — including her four sons — in the speech. But she said one of her sons did not have the right to marry under the current laws. "Those of us who are parents understand the innate instinct to fight against the unfair treatment of our children," Ms Lamb said. WHAT UNFAIR TREATMENT? "So today while I stand here incredibly proud to be a member of Parliament, I carry a sense of disillusionment that our laws treat the love of one son inferior to that of his brothers."  Based on this false logic - if two of her sons want to marry -each other -that also be unfair! A bother or sister can...

Homosexuals Advocates call Australia - bloody backwards

Image
Homosexual advocate: It’s time Australia stopped being so bloody backward. New homosexual marketing tries to manipulate moral thinking but fails! Cath Flack-Crane says her daughter shouldn’t have to wait for politicians to pull their finger out so she can live the life she chooses. In other words, all politicians should support my lesbian immoral lifestyle choice . All politicians should 'pull their finger out' and pass any legislation that I want! The homosexual lobby are trying to appeal through a new TV advertisement to the public that homosexual sin isnt sin but it is moral, clean, worthy, even righteous. But nobody believes it. But they tried! They involves mums and dads, a Vietnamese grandmother, a couple of straight mates and even a pair of gay beef farmers to promote and push sodomy onto all Australians . Homosexual campaigners will launch a new TV commercial — to be broadcast on channels 7, 9 and 10 and Foxtel — seeking to portray 'ordinary' Austral...

Belgian Catholics urge Rome to discipline Antwerp bishop over gay advocacy

Image
Pro Familia, a Belgian association of Catholic lay people, has decided to act against the public stance made by Antwerp Bishop Johan Bonny , who suggests in a new book published Friday that homosexual pairs, divorced, remarried and cohabiting couples   should receive a Church blessing   as part of a “diversity of rituals” that would recognize the “exclusiveness and stability” of their unions. “The question of Communion for the divorced and remarried should be carefully weighed," he writes. "It is not a question of a general ‘yes’ or ‘no,’ but of an evaluation. You have to judge on the basis of the individual situation of the persons involved. Or, better said, they can and must participate in that judging in the light of certain criteria.” In a press release published last week on its blog and picked up by the Flemish media, Pro Familia   announced its intent to file a complaint in Rome with Cardinal Beniamino Stella , the Prefect of the Congregation for the C...
