Why I Do Not Celebrate Gay Pride

Image
If you ask my detractors, they would tell you that the reason I do not celebrate gay pride is that I’m a bigot. A hater. A homophobe. A transphobe. And I understand their perspective. After all, no matter how Christian I claim to be, if I tell a gay couple I do not believe they are truly married in God’s sight, that feels like hatred to them . If I tell a woman who identifies as a man that I still believe she is a woman, that feels like hatred to her. From their perspective, I can understand how unchristian my position seems, how bigoted, how biased, how primitive. After all, they would be quick to point out, there are gay parents who are more devoted to their kids than some straight parents. There are transgender men and women who are kind, gentle, caring souls. There are people all across the LGBT spectrum who help the poor, who care for the oppressed, who love the loveless, who are outstanding bosses or employees or friends or neighbors. Why shouldn’t all of us celebrate ...

LGBT Attacking Australia’s Powerful New Religious Freedom Bill

Image
Sounds bad. Australia’s new religious freedom bill “hands a sword to people of faith.” We know what they’ll do. They will certainly use it to cut down everyone they disagree with and put down everyone they disapprove of. It sounds really bad. The end of freedom in Australia. But wait a minute, who says so? Looking at the Australian press, it’s LGBT advocates and moral liberals. They’re people, as we Americans know so well, who see the quietest statement of Christian morality as hateful, knuckle-dragging bigotry. So maybe it’s not so bad after all. Maybe the ruling party just wants to create a level playing field. Maybe the party wants to balance the right of LGBT people to celebrate their sexuality with other people’s right to say that it’s not God’s will.  The Real Story What’s the real story? Australian Attorney-General Christian Porter introduced the bill on August 29. Three months earlier, Rugby Australia fired player Israel Folau for an Instagram post claiming “hell...

Bishop Robert Barron Seems Squeamish on the Homosexual Question

Image
It is not true that Catholic Bishop Robert Barron does not mention homosexuality in his new “Letter to a Suffering Church” about the sexual abuse crisis. He does mention it. Once. That’s Right — Once The single mention comes in a passage on St. Peter Damian. He wrote how, in those long-ago days, sodomy was a terrible problem in the priesthood and among the laity. Barron quotes Damian, “The befouling cancer of sodomy is, in fact, spreading so through the clergy, or rather like a savage beast, is raging with shameless abandon through the flock of Christ.” Barron writes, “By the term ‘sodomy’ Peter Damian meant a range of homosexual behaviors, but what particularly vexed him were acts of predation by older priests of young boys and the lax attitude of those religious superiors who knew about such outrages and did nothing to stop them.” It is obvious Bishop Barron does not want to talk about homosexuality at all.  Barron argues that Damian has an especial distaste for bisho...

Why These Women Walked Away From the LGBT Lifestyle

Image
Those struggling with same-sex attraction or hoping to walk away from a homosexual lifestyle may find some encouragement from Liz Flaherty and Elizabeth Woning, who both once lived a lesbian lifestyle. While leading their own organizations to help individuals transition out of homosexuality, Flaherty and Woning are also a part of a growing movement called Changed — a supportive and loving community of those who once identified as LGBTQ+. In today’s episode, we sit down with Flaherty and Woning to hear their stories and discuss some of the current legislation being advocated that could have detrimental effects on organizations that offer counseling services for those struggling with homosexuality. Read the lightly edited transcript, posted below, or listen on the podcast. Virginia Allen: I am joined by Liz Flaherty and Elizabeth Woning. Liz and Elizabeth both lead or co-lead Christian organizations that work with people who are seeking to walk away from the homosexual lifestyl...

Transgender regret and LGBT ideology

Image
LGBT AND THE GREAT TRAGIC MISTAKE LGBT activists deny the overwhelming scientific evidence that males and females are very different in virtually every aspect of their being. These differences are innate and immutable and go well beyond the reproductive organs that a person is born with.  They include cellular, muscular, and skeletal differences, and even include brain function, the different ways men and women perceive sight and sound, process information, respond to aggression, display emotions and interact with children. It simply is scientifically impossible for a person of one sex to "transition" to be the opposite sex. All they can do is attempt to imitate the opposite sex through the use of powerful drug and hormone therapies, and debilitating surgeries. We also know from scientific research that there is no scientific evidence to support the theory that people can be born "trapped in the wrong body." LGBT leaders and groups deny this vociferously be...

Kellogg announces special pro-gay breakfast cereal to raise money for ‘LGBTQ advocacy work’

Image
The iconic cereal brand Kellogg is embarking on its most high-profile foray yet into the world of identity politics with the announcement of specially packaged cereal meant to support the left-wing, pro-LGBT lobbying group GLAAD. All Together cereal is a limited-edition variety pack of Corn Flakes, Froot Loops, Frosted Flakes, Frosted Mini-Wheats, Raisin Bran, and Rice Krispies, with the mascots of each brand appearing together on the same box. It was created in recognition of GLAAD’s Spirit Day 2019, which the organization bills as a “means of speaking out against LGBTQ bullying and standing with LGBTQ youth.” Here is the demented justification by Kelloggs to push homosexuality onto children: "We all belong together. So for the first time in history, our famous mascots and cereals are offered exclusively together in the same box for All Together Cereal. It’s a symbol of acceptance no matter how you look, where you’re from or who you love. We believe that all people dese...
