Why are trans activists furious with this pro-trans article?

Image
A recent article in a venerable American magazine expresses the belief that suffering can be relieved through sex reassignments, and yet it has inspired a volley of angry tweets and articles from trans activists. Why? Because of the author of the Atlantic piece , Jesse Singal, interviews women who have regretted their transgender treatments, parents who resisted pressure to allow their minor children hormone therapy, and sex-reassignment therapists who urge caution. Victor Manuel Markoff tweeted, “F(***) off with this transphobia. And on pride month too. This article and cover are an absolute disgrace. You should be ashamed of yourself.” Parker Malloy tweeted, “This guy’s one-man crusade against trans people has gone on for years. It really doesn’t make sense. Sad that the Atlantic gave him a cover story to spread his pseudoscience and bigotry.” Harron Walker of Jezebel magazine got in on the Singal-bashing action by writing “a lot of trans people, myself included, loathe his cove...

Youth synod document’s use of LGBT ‘is a big problem’

Image
For the first time in history, Vatican officials have seemingly embraced the notion that some people are born gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender via the inclusion of the term “LGBT” in the preparatory document for the Holy See’s upcoming Youth Synod. MADNESS! Pro-LGBT Catholic organizations have cheered this as an important milestone . Fr. James Martin, SJ, the priest who stands at the forefront of promoting the normalization of homosexuality and transgenderism within the Church, accurately observed that for orthodox Catholics “It will be harder to object now,” to the infiltration of gay ideology. Rome’s inclusion of the term was met with immediate, forceful pushback. A big problem, big mistake “This is a big problem. We do not use the political language of the gay rights and associated movement when analyzing the nature of man and the nature of sin,” said Fr. Gerald Murray, speaking on EWTN’s The World Over . “The Catholic Church does not accept that there is a category of ...

Toronto Catholic teacher unions go all in on homosexuality

Image
The elementary and high school Catholic teachers in Toronto have been sent an email from their union leaders inviting them to "Come Celebrate Toronto Pride ". The message encourages teachers to walk in solidarity with their union representatives on June 25, 2018. They are being invited to support sin. Will the Catholic union be marching in solidarity for the Kemptville chaplain who lost his position because he chose to defend Catholic teaching? We don't think so. Chaplaincy leaders are supposed to defend and teach the Catholic faith. But these are times of political correctness. Will the Ontario English Catholic Teachers Association (OECTA) come to support the chaplain in the same way they are prepared to stand for sexual diversity and equity education event? We doubt this too. Where is the bishop responsible for the school's religious curriculum? OECTA stopped being a Catholic union years ago . The fact that Dave Szollosy a counselor for the Toronto Secondary Unit...

Police issue Canada-wide arrest warrant for Christian accused of LGBT ‘hate’ crimes

Image
Toronto police have issued a Canada-wide warrant on charges of inciting hatred for a Christian who handed out flyers at the 2016 Toronto Pride Parade warning of the spiritual and biological dangers of sodomy. Bill Whatcott announced on the Free North America portal he intends to turn himself into the Calgary police on Friday, June 22 at 10:00 a.m. Toronto 51 Division is charging Whatcott with the indictable offence of inciting hatred under Section 391 of Canada’s Criminal Code. “The ‘crime’? My ministry bringing the Gospel and the truth about homosexuality to Toronto’s homosexual pride parade in 2016,” Whatcott wrote on Free North America. Constable Caroline de Kloet, media relations officer for Toronto Police Service, said the charges arose from a two-year investigation into a complaint the police received in 2016, but that police don’t give out “victim information.” The Toronto police were in contact the federal attorney general on the case, as is the procedure with hate crimes. ...

Why should there be homosexual painted road at Taylor Square in Sydney?

Image
Why should Taylor Square get a new blatant homosexual promotional pedestrian crossing? Why is the City of Sydney council, five years after the original was deemed a safety risk and controversially ripped up seeking to do this again? the answer is that the LGBT agenda trumps common sense objections. This is simply outrageous behaviour by a city council. The first rainbow crossing was painted across Oxford Street in 2013 to mark 35 years of the immoral Homosexual Mardi Gras which has brought disgrace upon Sydney. It was agreed between the Government and Council it could stay for one month only. When it was removed, typically the LGBT mob were outraged.  In defiance of public opinion, Lord Mayor Clover Moore said the crossing would be reinstated nearby at the corner of Bourke and Campbell streets this year in "a victory" for the LGBTIQ community. More has chosen sides and sees this as a victory for one group against another group. Is this the role of the office of Mayor -...

New ‘Jurassic Park’ film deletes scene revealing lesbian character, LGBT activists mad

Image
Yet another Hollywood blockbuster has left a scene of gratuitous LGBT “diversity” on the cutting room floor. “Jurassic World: the Fallen Kingdom,” the fifth instalment in the “Jurassic Park” franchise, opens this weekend in theatres. But a scene revealing the main character to be lesbian was cut from the film, Vulture reports . Wonderful!! LGBT ideology left on the floor! Actress Daniella Pineda portrays dinosaur veterinarian Zia Rodriguez, a character originally slated to identify herself as a lesbian. “It’s me and Chris Pratt and we are in a military vehicle with all of these mercenaries,” Pineda describes the deleted scene. “I look at Chris and am like, ‘Yeah. Square Jaw. Good bone structure. Tall. Muscles. I don’t date men, but if I did, it would be you. It would gross me out, but I would do it.’” Pineda said the scene was “cool, because it was a little insight into my character,” but did not attribute its removal to any political or moral motivation on the part of director J....

Trinity Western University loses before Supreme Court of Canada

Image
Trinity Western University, an evangelical tertiary institution in British Columbia, has lost two cases it had brought protesting the decision of two Canadian Provincial Law Societies to not authorise graduates of their proposed Law School as able to practice in the Provinces. The reason for the denial of accreditation was that TWU requires students and staff to agree to a Community Covenant Agreement, which undertakes (among other things) that they will not engage while studying or working at TWU in “sexual intimacy that violates the sacredness of marriage between a man and a woman”.  The Supreme Court of Canada, in two linked cases, has now held by a 7-2 majority that the Law Societies were justified in their refusal to accredit the TWU Law program, on the basis that any interference with religious freedom was minor, and that the Societies were entitled to take the view that the Covenant requirement imposed “harm” on LGBTQ law students. I disagree with both thos...
