Playing Your Part in the Homosexual Culture Wars

Image
It seems that in the culture wars in general, and the homosexuality debates in particular, we are easily being out-spent, out-gunned, out-maneuvered, and out-manned. This is true in many respects. The other side is awash with funding – often taxpayer funding – and they basically control all the major institutions of power and influence. Thus the mainstream media overwhelmingly is populated by those from the secular left, and seeking to get a countervailing point of view in there is quite difficult indeed. In fact it is basically impossible in many media outlets – “our” ABC being one prime example. Much of the academy is also dominated by the left, and conservative Christians are a very rare breed there. So too in so many other crucial public arenas. All of this, in part, is why the alternative media arose: to try to get a fair hearing in the public square. But when it comes to man-power, we need to qualify things a bit here. The radical left only accounts for a very sma...

Yes Homosexual Marriage Impacts Every Single One of Us

Image
Everything changes when homosexual marriage is legalised. I have documented this basic truth countless times in my books and in numerous articles. Everyone is impacted and society is changed forever when we give legal recognition to this social fiction. When we allow the revolutionary assault on marriage by denying its most basic claim – marriage is composed of two different genders : male and female – we open a can of worms that cannot be closed. A genderless marriage means genderless families, a genderless society, and a state crackdown on all who might disagree. I have been quoting the activists concerning all this for decades now. They have spilled the beans and told us exactly what they intend. Consider just three such quotes. Lesbian activist Masha Gessen said to a Sydney audience in May 2012: It’s a no-brainer that we should have the right to marry, but I also think equally that it’s a no-brainer that the institution of marriage should not exist [cheers from th...

A Review of Stealing From a Child. By David van Gend.

Image
Marriage has always been about children, for the simple reason that children are the usual result of the male-female sexual union. If human sexuality was not reproductive in nature, the state would have no interest in the institution of marriage. But it is, so the state rightly does care about marriage. Thus children are the reason for marriage, and it is their wellbeing that we should primarily be concerned about. However the push by adults to redefine the institution of marriage shows a callous disregard for the rights of children, especially their fundamental right to have their own biological mother and father. As such, the push for “homosexual marriage” is a grave injustice. Says David van Gend: “We are guilty of stealing a child’s birthright when we institute motherless families and fatherless homes as an ideal in our law.” No caring society can keep putting the interests of children last while we cater to adult whims and desires. Van Gend makes his case solidly a...

Catholic school hit with $1 million suit for not allowing same-sex date at dance

Image
MEMPHIS, Tennessee,— An all-boys Catholic high school in Memphis, Tennessee , is being sued for $1 million by a former student who claims the school caused him “severe injuries and damages” by refusing to allow him to bring his same-sex date to a homecoming dance last year. The suit, filed Sept. 20 in Circuit Court on behalf of Lance Sanderson, states that Christian Brothers High School (CBHS) caused the teenage boy who identifies as “gay” to “suffer severe injuries and damages which include, but are not limited to disability, past and future emotional distress, past and future medical expenses, and personal care services.” Sanderson hit the national spotlight last year after going public with the school’s refusal to let him bring his male date. Despite negative media attention as well as a petition on Change.org titled “Let me take my date to homecoming” that was signed by almost 28,000 supporters, the school held fast to its Catholic principles. The Catholic Church te...

Cardinal Schönborn’s Vienna archdiocese promotes theologian who opposes Church on gender ideology

The organizer of the Gender-Symposium argues that the attack on gender ideology from Catholic circles is ideological, generalized, and misses the point. The Gender-Symposium conference was organized by Catholic Viennese theologian Gunter Prüller-Jagenteufel, professor of ethics at the University of Vienna . In an interview with the Austrian Catholic News Agency , Kathpress.at, Prüller-Jagenteufel explained that the intention of the conference was to show that the criticism of gender ideology from Catholic circles is not valid. “The argument that the critical questioning of gender role is an ideologically motivated attack of Christian-Western values and institutions comes to nothing,” the professor said. “‘Anti-genderism’ bases itself on generalizations that are untenable: that gender is just a social construct, that heterosexual relations are supposed to be dissolved, and that the tradition family is in danger of being destroyed.” Prüller-Jagenteufer criticized how gender...

Poland’s bishops denounce Soros-funded campaign against Church over homosexuality

Image
Polish homosexual activists launched a campaign Let Us Offer Each Other the Sign of Peace. It met with widespread criticism in the Catholic media and a clear response from the Church’s hierarchy. Posters showing a handshake — one hand with a rainbow bracelet symbolizing LGBT people and the other with a rosary on the wrist — were supposed to create a positive message. “However, the campaign could seem innocent only to people who don’t know social context nor global LGBT movement,” Michał Barcikowski from the Christianitas magazine told polskieradio.pl. The vocal and active Campaign Against Homophobia (CAH) organized the campaign. Two other groups — Tolerado, and Faith and Rainbow — joined them. CAH regularly  threatens people with lawsuits and attacks the freedom of belief and religion in courts. Now, in its latest campaign, Let Us Offer Each Other the Sign of Peace, it discusses Christian values and the “necessity of respect.” The organizers wrote on their website that...

Impregnated Lesbian becomes a Christian - leaves lesbian partner - now lawyers imprison person who helped Christian escape from homosexual lifestyle A pastor serving a 27-month prison sentence for helping a young girl and her mother escape the custody of her court-assigned lesbian “parent” has been threatened with more prison time for refusing to testify in the prosecution of Christian businessman Philip Zodhiates, who is also accused of aiding the escape. After refusing to testify on Fifth Amendment grounds, Kenneth Miller was informed by U.S. District Judge Richard Arcara that he had been granted immunity from prosecution and therefore “you no longer have a Fifth Amendment right not to answer,” according to Christian News. U.S. Assistant Attorney Paul Van De Graaf then proceeded to interrogate Kenneth Miller, asking him where he lived in September 2009, if he had ever met ex-lesbian Lisa Miller, and if he had called Timothy Miller, another Mennonite pastor living in ...
