UK school chaplain sues after being fired, reported as terrorist for sermon questioning LGBTQ activists

Image
'Woke activists are eating away at the Church of England's guts,' said Rev. Dr. Bernard Randall, who is alleging religious discrimination Reverend Dr. Bernard Randall delivered a sermon in the school chapel at Trent College near Nottingham in 2019 Ex-Cambridge college chaplain defended pupils' right to question school's introduction of new LGBT policies  Following the sermon, Dr. Randall was flagged to Prevent, which normally identifies those at risk of radicalization Police investigated the tip-off but advised the school that he posed ‘no counter-terrorism risk or risk of radicalization’ A school chaplain in the United Kingdom is taking legal action against his former employer after he says he was fired because of a 2019 sermon that told students they are entitled to make up their own minds about the claims of LGBTQ identity politics. "I gave a sermon in chapel saying you don't have to accept anybody's ideology, you make up your own mind," said ...

UK government admits 'inappropriate' to argue Bible 'offensive' in case against Christian street preacher

Image
CASE TOSSED OUT AGAINST CHRISTIAN STREET PREACHER ARRESTED FOR ALLEGED HOMOPHOBIA The government of the United Kingdom acknowledged it was "inappropriate" for state prosecutors to argue in court that parts of the Bible are "simply no longer appropriate in modern society and […] would be deemed offensive if stated in public." The Wessex Area of the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) had made such an argument while attempting to convict Christian street preacher John Dunn of a hate crime earlier this year, according to a press release from the London-based Christian Legal Centre, which represented Dunn. Prosecutors argued that Dunn, a 55-year-old British army special forces veteran who has preached openly for 15 years in the southwestern English town of Swindon, was guilty of hate speech when he offended some members of the public by denouncing homosexuality. The case against Dunn, which could have seen him slapped with a criminal record, was tossed out last month after ...

Now you are a bigot?

Image
This is not hype or exaggeration. It is a simple, legal truth. With the signing of the “Respect for Marriage Act” into law, if you do not accept or affirm same-sex “marriage,” you are now in the same category as a racist. And you can be assured that this will be used as a weapon against you in the days to come. How can I make such statements? Let me remind you of the exact language of the bill, beginning with the opening words: “This act provides statutory authority for same-sex and interracial marriages.” I have already discussed the reasons why this language was used since, in reality, interracial marriages were no more under potential legal threat in America than apple pie or baseball.  The only reason marriage requires two people is because it requires a man and a woman. In this article, I want to point out how the language is being used to target and demonize those of us who affirm and welcome interracial marriage, which contains the fundamental elements of marriage (a man and...

Landmark Study Shows Trauma Treatment Significantly Alters Sexual Attraction

Image
Surprising results challenge our assumptions about how fluid sexual attractions are.  A new large-scale, peer-reviewed study in the Journal of Human Sexuality demonstrates that sexual attraction fluidity exploration in therapy significantly decreases unwanted sexual behaviors while improving psychological well-being. Researchers examined 75 adult males who reported same-sex attractions and wished to explore their sexual attraction fluidity. Participants worked with certified therapists using Reintegrative Therapy, a treatment method that seeks to identify and resolve past traumatic memories. “Actively attempting to change one’s sexuality might interfere with this process. Instead, we encourage clients to resolve memories they identify as being traumatic. As we support them through this journey, we let whatever happens naturally happen,” said Dr. Joseph Nicolosi Jr., a licensed clinical psychologist and founder of the Reintegrative Therapy Association, a nonprofit scientific organiz...

Biden and Gay Marriage

Image
President Joe Biden has signed the so-called Respect for Marriage Act into law, spurning warnings the act will impede religious freedom, and surrounded by LGBTQ activists, lawmakers, and drag queens. “Today is a good day,” Biden said Tuesday as he signed the legislation. “A day America takes a vital step toward equality, for liberty and justice, not just for some, but for everyone. Toward creating a nation where decency, dignity, and love are recognized, honored, and protected.” “We’re here today to celebrate their courage and everyone who made the day possible,” the president added. “Courage that led to progress we’ve seen over the decades, progress that gives us hope that every generation will continue on our journey toward a more perfect union.” The move was strongly condemned by religious leaders like Catholic Vote President Brian Burch. “Laws passed during lame-duck sessions are by definition desperate,” Burch said Tuesday. “This gross attempt to redefine marriage allows radical a...

There is No Justification for a Conservative Senator to Sign the ‘Respect for Marriage Act’

Image
Why would 12 Republican senators vote in favor of a bill which “provides statutory authority for same-sex and interracial marriages”? How could almost 25% of all Republican senators agree to back this? The issue, of course, is not their backing of interracial marriages. No major leader with any credibility or respected platform is saying such marriages should not be recognized by law. In fact, it is misleading even to put interracial marriages, which contain the fundamental building blocks of marriage and family, namely a man and a woman, in the same category as same-sex “marriages,” which by definition omit either the man or the woman. Rejection of interracial marriages is a matter of bigotry, not biology. The issue is these Republican leaders offering their names in support of these same-sex unions. What could possibly motivate them? Accepting Obergefell and Thinking This Bill Protects Religious Liberties  In the words of Sen. Mitt Romney, one of the aforementioned 12 and himself...

The ‘Respect for Marriage Act’ Sets the Stage to Overturn Obergefell v. Hodges

Image
While I am disappointed that the “Respect for Marriage Act” (RFMA) passed in the U.S. Congress, I am convinced that this bill will be the undoing of the Supreme Court’s 2015 same-sex marriage opinion in Obergefell v. Hodges. We fought hard to stop HR 8404, and we came very close to killing the bill thanks to so many citizens engaged in preserving religious freedom in America. To them, I would say, “Don’t get discouraged.” Now we move to the next strategy, in which I have a high level of confidence. The advocates of RFMA may celebrate today, but that celebration will not last. Lawmakers and LGBTQ advocates have unwittingly created the perfect scenario to fix the mess the High Court originally created. Obergefell, like Roe v. Wade, has no constitutional foundation. Overturning Obergefell would return the regulation and definition of marriage to the States as it was throughout our history up till the Court issued its flawed opinion in June 2015. Like abortion, many states would return to ...

Gay Marriage state by state review

Image
Before the Court’s official decision to overturn Roe v. Wade was released, President Biden was already warning that same-sex “marriage” would be next. As he said in May, “It’s not just the brutality of taking away a woman’s right to her body … but it also if you read the opinion … basically says there’s no such thing as the right to privacy. If that holds … mark my words: They are going to go after the Supreme Court decision on same-sex marriage.” Was he right? Why Roe is Different On the one hand, Justice Samuel Alito made clear in his opinion for the majority that the overturning of Roe was different than other cases the Court could one day revisit since Roe involved “potential life.” As David French explained, “In plain English, Alito argues that abortion is dramatically different from cases involving marriage because abortion involves harm to a non-consenting party, the “potential life” (to use the language from Roe) of the unborn child. Interracial marriage involves consenting adu...

This is Why I Don’t Believe Polls on Same-Sex Marriage

Image
Disney’s recent movie Strange World and the summer’s Lightyear both bombed at the box office. The Wall Street Journal recently called this “an unusual record for a company long considered a guaranteed hitmaker in children’s entertainment.” It was more than that. The Wall Street Journal won’t tell you one of the big reasons the two films bombed. It’s the same reason Bros — the movie whose poster showed two men grabbing each other’s buttocks — bombed. Few Americans go to the theatre to see same-sex relationships promoted. And this is why I don’t believe the polls show such a huge shift in support of same-sex marriage in the seven years since Obergefell. The practice has gained support from a solid majority of our political class, as the passage of the Respect for Marriage Act shows. But it doesn’t have so much support from everyone else. What People Don’t Tell Pollsters Don’t get me wrong. I don’t dispute that there has been some shift. And I don’t dispute that large numbers of people te...

How to response when gay couple come to church

Image
You’re standing at your church entrance, greeting folks for morning worship. It’s the usual Sunday morning routine — until you see a pair of men walking up, holding hands. Suddenly your usual Sunday morning has turned unusual. It could go badly, and you know it. You’ll gain an instant impression based on how they’re dressed, how they approach the church, and how they greet others. You’ll mix that together with your own past experiences. If you’ve heard of homosexual activists disrupting church services, your first reaction may be to put your guard up. You don’t know what to expect. They might be there legitimately responding to His call, and you want them to feel welcome for that. Or maybe you’ve seen gays and lesbians mistreated, and you’re thinking you should bend over backward to make sure that doesn’t happen here. It took you a few seconds to read through those scenarios. You’ll form your impressions a whole lot faster than that when it happens for real. You’ll have almost exactly ...

Gay White House

Image
“I pledge to be a president who seeks not to divide, but to unify,” Joe Biden said in his “unifying” inaugural address. He even pointed to Scripture in a nod to his supposed Catholic faith: “The Bible tells us that to everything there is a season — a time to build, a time to reap, a time to sow, and a time to heal. This is the time to heal in America.” Well, on Tuesday, he trashed both the Bible and unity by signing the (Dis)Respect for Marriage Act and then lighting up the White House in rainbow colors. The God Biden claims to believe in established marriage when He created Adam and Eve. (He also created the rainbow for an entirely different purpose, but that’s another story.) Yet just like Biden disregards the sanctity of life, he couldn’t care less about the Creator’s definition of marriage, or about the religious liberty of those who object to being forced to affirm its redefinition. Some Catholic. Politically, Biden has done nothing but violate his pledge to unify Americans. In fa...

Why draw a line with Gay Marriage?

Image
Columnist E.J. Dionne of The Washington Post may sometimes be infuriating, but he is never unintelligent. After graduating from Harvard, Dionne was named a Rhodes Scholar at Oxford where he earned a doctorate in sociology. He is always thoughtful, analytical, and polite. He is decidedly liberal when comes to both politics and theology, but he also seems to find conservatives to be interesting, if sometimes downright dangerous. Even more recently, he seems to find conservative Christians to be perplexing. In a column published Sunday, Dionne asks about our opposition to same-sex marriage: “Why draw the line here?” It’s a fair question. Dionne, a practicing Catholic, as they say, wonders aloud why many of us cannot just acknowledge same-sex marriage and move on. Dionne goes further and argues that he does not see conservative Christians reacting with the same “ferocious response” to divorce or adultery. He wants to know why we are demanding exemptions from anti-discrimination laws and po...

British man who identified as Korean girl detransitions after multiple surgeries, finds Christ

Image
'Is it any wonder people like me and young people want to change their gender when we have normalization of this in our schools in this country?' asked Oli North. Last year, British social media influencer Oli London  announced that he was trans-racial  and would be henceforth identifying as Korean in imitation of his idol, the singer and K-pop star Park Jimin. To achieve this, he underwent a series of thirty grotesque plastic surgeries to morph himself into Jimin’s doppelganger, spending over $270,000. These surgeries and his own deeply felt identity, he announced to the world, meant that he was a non-binary Korean (later a woman), not a white Englishman.    He announced his “transition” in language that will, by now, be familiar to everyone in a video titled “My TRANSition story” (emphasis his):   I identify as Korean. That’s my culture. That’s my home country. That’s exactly how I look now. I also identify as Jimin, and that’s my career name. I know it’s a bi...
