Ballarat case highlights school staffing issues in Religious Discrimination Bill debate

Image
When Rachel Colvin, a teacher at Ballarat Christian College, refused to sign a new statement of faith that had been strengthened following the same-sex marriage plebiscite, she set in train an anti-discrimination case which captures the issues at the heart of Australia’s religious discrimination debate. She should have stood down immediately. But she aligned herself with people who are clearly anti-God and anti-scripture while still claiming to be a Christian.  The school’s new statement says  “God designed the two genders, male and female, for the purpose of joy and procreation within the sole relationship of marriage. So marriage can only be between a male and a female, and upon this foundation alone should children be conceived and families formed.”  Although a very liberal Christian, Colvin disagreed. She should have withdrawn and walked away instead she chose to go with the immoral culture and not scripture and embarrass a Christian school. Lovely. Rac...

Bishop Curry fires Bishop Love on not supporting homosexual marriage

Image
The Most Rev Bishop Michael Curry, primate of the Episcopal Church, gives an address during the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in St George's Chapel at Windsor Castle in Windsor, Britain, May 19, 2018 Remember that lovely, smiley American bishop who spoke at the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle a couple of years ago?   And do you recall how he spoke so inspiringly, in the opinion of many, about love? Yes, how the words of Michael Curry, presiding bishop of the US Episcopal Church, soared with poetry in the chapel at Windsor Castle as he declared: 'When LOVE is the way, there's plenty good room – plenty good room – FOR ALL of God's children.' His voice rang with passion and hearts were melted as he continued:  'Because when love is the way, we actually treat each other, well... like we are actually family. When love is the way, we know that God is the source of us all, and we are brothers and sisters, children of God.' Even ...

Bishop upholds Bible - while Denomination upholds immoral culture

Image
Bishop William Love addressed the Diocese of Albany’s Convention this weekend, using the moment to rail again against the actions of last year’s General Convention to extend provisions for marriage equality across dioceses, and even invoking brutal images of the martyrdom suffered by Christians elsewhere in the world to paint a picture of a faith under attack at home from forces of “social justice or women’s rights, or political correctness.” Bishop Love quickly defined his firm stance against marriage equality and “political correctness” as “Standing Firm in the Holy Spirit,” as he drew up his battle lines: Tonight, I need to talk about the crisis that faces this Diocese and Christianity in general.  The Diocese of Albany is in the midst of a battle whose outcome is not yet known.  The very nature and character of this Diocese as we have known it, is under attack from forces outside as well as within.  Each of us must decide how we will respond. We have all rea...

US bishop disciplined for maintaining biblical stance on marriage

Image
ONE CHRISTIAN LEADER STANDS FOR SCRIPTURE NOT IDIOTIC DENOMINATION The US Episcopal Church is disciplining one of its bishops because he upholds the biblical position on sex and marriage. The Bishop of Albany, William Love, has been accused of violating canon law by showing “unwillingness to abide by Resolution B012” – which stipulates that bishops must permit same-sex weddings to take place in their diocese. The Resolution introduced in 2018 says that if a bishop disagrees with same-sex marriage and does not wish to participate, they must invite another bishop to do so instead. ‘Direct conflict’ When the resolution was passed, Bishop Love responded with a pastoral letter saying same-sex unions are “in direct conflict and contradiction to God’s intent for the sacrament of marriage”. He added that permitting same-sex marriages does  “a great disservice and injustice to same-sex attracted Christians, as it leads them to believe God gives his blessing “to the sharing o...

Ex-trans: ‘I had tunnel vision that transitioning would make me happy’

Image
A BBC documentary has highlighted the stories of those who undergo medical interventions in an attempt to ‘change sex’, but later realise their mistake and return to their birth sex. The Detransitioners tells the stories of Brian and Daniel.  Both men lived as women for more than ten years, believing that transitioning would make them happy. ‘Fear’ Daniel had a traumatic childhood and said he “started developing in my mind that being a male was bad”. He said: “I developed a fear of being male”, and decided to transition to female. As an adult he took cross-sex hormones, before receiving invasive surgery, which he now describes as “the worst thing I could have done”. Realisation He says he came to realise he was male and that he should return to his birth sex. He now says he had “tunnel vision” which prevented him realising the truth, and has undergone complete reversal surgery. Brian Belovitch also lived as a woman – Natalia – for over a decade before he also re...

Middle school hangs LGBT flag in cafeteria, bans flag of traditional family

Image
A small-town Minnesota school has become a center of controversy because of an LGBT pride flag hanging in its cafeteria. Following several weeks of parental and community concern, packed school board meetings, and student anxiety, Thomas More Society attorneys have requested an array of formal documents from school officials to investigate how policies may have been violated in this scenario. Marshall Middle School in Marshall, Minnesota, serves 679 students in grades 5 to 8. The rainbow pride flag, which is used to represent people who have chosen a lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender lifestyle, hangs in the school’s cafeteria alongside the United States flag and a variety of international flags. A student-circulated petition opposing the LGBT flag and requests to display other flags offered by the school population were not welcomed by the administration. Thomas More Society Special Counsel Erick Kaardal, who has been retained to represent a group of Marshall residents, ...

Bill banning boys who say they’re girls from women’s sports passes Arizona House

Image
The Arizona House voted 31-29 Tuesday to pass legislation ensuring that female school athletes will only compete against other females rather than gender-confused boys who claim to be girls. House Bill 2706, the “Save Women's Sports Act,” would allow participants in high-school girls and college women’s athletics to dispute the biological sex of an athlete they suspect of actually being male, who would then have to produce a signed doctor’s statement confirming that genetic testing has identified them as female, CBS 5 reported. Accusers would also be shielded from retaliation. "Women are being displaced in their own sport. The playing field is no longer level," said Republican state Rep. Nancy Barto, the bill’s author. Calling the proposed requirement “cruel,” opponents of the bill claim it could open up transgender students to bullying – a charge Barto rejects. "I would say they're really not looking at the true motive of the bill. It's not singl...

Biden unveils ominous ‘LGTBQ+ equality’ plan to compel institutions to ‘enforce…advance’ gay ‘rights’

Image
Former Vice President and current Democrat presidential frontrunner Joe Biden released his official “LGBTQ+ equality” plan this week, a comprehensive document laying out how he would elevate homosexual and transgender “acceptance” above religious liberty and conscience rights if elected to the White House. “As President, Biden will stand with the LGBTQ+ community to ensure America finally lives up to the promise on which it was founded: equality for all,” the plan declares. “He will provide the moral leadership to champion equal rights for all LGBTQ+ people, fight to ensure our laws and institutions protect and enforce their rights, and advance LGBTQ+ equality globally.” First, the plan lists as a “top priority” enacting the so-called  Equality Act , which would amend the 1964 Civil Rights Act to include “sex,” “sexual orientation,” and “gender identity” among expressly recognized “non-discrimination” categories in “public accommodations” (the definition of which would be ...

Ballarat Christian college settles teacher with LGBT agenda

Image
Ballarat Christian College in southeast Australia can now retain its Statement of Faith defining marriage as a union between a man and woman as a result of a settlement it reached with a former pro-same-sex marriage teacher. The teacher, an American LGBT advocate did not disclose her liberal Biblical views to the school when applying for her teaching position. She persisted in violating the school ethical code and the school's biblical code until she was sacked. Then violating scripture she took the school to Court.  Her pretension was exposed but because there are no religious freedom laws, it is the school that pays the penalty for such non-biblical behaviour.  The school has now been manipulated by an LGBT advocate claiming she has the Christian faith. As part of the settlement, the Christian college in Victoria will pay an undisclosed amount as payout and give a positive employment reference to Rachel Colvin, who filed the lawsuit backed by LGBT rights group Equalit...

Christians muzzled by pro LGBT RA

Image
Christian Wallabies players have blasted Rugby Australia, saying they 'felt muzzled' and were not allowed to publicly support their teammate Israel Folau before he was sacked for posting homophobic messages to Instagram. Senior Wallabies Sekope Kepu and Samu Kerevi both supported Folau after his social media posts about homosexuals being condemned to hell when they died. Folau's lucrative contract was torn up by Rugby Australia boss Raelene Castle before he launched legal action and reached a multi-million dollar settlement in December.   Kerevi and Kepu wrote affidavits submitted to the Federal Circuit Court of Australia in support of Folau in November, which were later obtained by The Australian.  In the documents both men state they were 'muzzled' by Rugby Australia when they felt they were prevented from speaking with the media over the Folau saga.  'My perception was that the media was briefed to approach people who would toe the 'anti-Isra...

Aussie teammates ‘blocked’ from supporting Israel Folau

Image
Senior Australian rugby players felt unable to publicly support teammate Israel Folau due to pressure from the sport’s governing body, according to an Australian newspaper.  Folau’s playing contract was terminated over a social media post quoting the Bible.  He later reached a settlement with Rugby Australia (RA) and received an apology. Support It has been reported that senior internationals Sekope Kepu and Samu Kerevi submitted statements in support of Folau to the Federal Circuit Court of Australia in November. But both players felt that they were prevented from speaking to the media about the case by RA. Kerevi wrote that Folau was being punished for simply “expressing his faith” and the treatment was inconsistent with discipline for other players. He added: “At the time I wanted to support Israel publicly. I couldn’t because the players were told by management not to comment on the issue.” Religious beliefs RA chief Raelene Castle has denied the claims....

Ministers question controversial changes to transgender law: The Times

Image
Ministers are reconsidering plans to make changing legal sex much easier, following concerns about the impact the changes would have on children, according to The Times. Currently, anyone wanting to legally ‘change sex’ is required to have lived as if a member of the opposite sex for two years and be approved by a specialist panel before they can receive a Gender Recognition Certificate and a new birth certificate. In 2018, the Government consulted on proposals to allow people to change sex simply by declaring themselves to be the opposite sex. ‘Protecting children’ The consultation results has been delayed significantly amid strong opposition from women’s groups and those concerned with the impact on children, but ministers are set to publish their findings in the summer. A Government source told The Times newspaper: “While we believe adults should be able to live their lives, and trans rights should be respected and protected, the government also has a role to play in pro...

New York City to repeal ban on gay 'conversion therapy' amid legal battle

Image
The New York city council is planning to repeal a two-year-old ban on “gay conversion therapy” to avoid a costly uphill legal fight. The city’s openly gay Council Speaker Corey Johnson introduced a bill to repeal a measure passed in 2017 banning the sale of “services intended to change a person’s sexual orientation or gender identity.”  With a conservative-leaning U.S. Supreme Court makeup, Johnson doesn’t seem to want the law to be tested in the legal system. He vowed that the council would act quickly to repeal the law.  Obviously I didn’t want to repeal this,” Johnson was quoted as saying. “I don’t want to be someone who is giving in to these right-wing groups. But the Supreme Court has become conservative; the Second Circuit, which oversees New York, has become more conservative.” The city's ban is being challenged by the conservative religious freedom legal group Alliance Defending Freedom, which has won nine Supreme Court cases in the last seven years....

Two lesbians will defy God at Lambeth Conference

Image
Two married lesbian priests will defy God and lead an immoral, anti-Bible LGBT+ church service as Anglican bishops from around the world gather for a conference. This conference is the pawn for gay anti-Christ rebels to push their personal and very sinful homosexual agenda. The Lambeth Conference will take place in July in Kent, England. It is held every 10 years and is the major forum for deciding the future direction of the Anglican Church around the world. And it will bring together 1,000 bishops from 165 countries. But small LGBT zealots see this as their platform to push their sinful anti-bible agenda. They call God's love, hate and they obviously do not work for God. This Lambeth Conference has already faced a two-year delay amid a row over immoral anti-Bible homosexual marriage. It should have taken place in 2018 but in 2017 leaders decided to delay it until 2020. At the same meeting, it was delayed, the Anglican Communion suspended the US Episcopal Church from d...

Archbishop Anglican Church Uganda, Stephen Kazimba Mugalu rejects gay marriage

Image
The new head of the Anglican Church in Uganda, Stephen Kazimba Mugalu, has spoken out against same-sex couples at his enthronement. The head of the Church of England and worldwide Anglican Christianity, Justin Welby, was there to support Kazimba as he was formally enthroned. And as the Archbishop of Uganda and Bishop of Kampala, Kazimba now has widespread influence. Around a third of the east African country’s citizens are members of the Church of Uganda. And the church is particularly influential in Uganda’s politics. Kazimba vowed the church will continue to insist marriage is between a man and woman and for procreation.  He added they would not be ‘pressured’ into accepting immoral homosexual couples: ‘The trend in the Western world and some Anglican churches in those contexts are being pressured into doing this, including our mother Church of England.  But for us in Uganda, as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. The Bible speak, and the culture speaks....

Stupid Cinderella remash to feature weird ‘genderless’ fairy godmother played by gay man

Image
Cinderella’s fairy godmother will be portrayed as “genderless” by a homosexual male actor in a remake of the classic fairytale by Columbia Pictures. How stupid can one get! DO COLUMBIA PICTURES EXPECT PARENTS TO BRING THEIR KIDS TO BRAINWASHED BY LGBT IDEOLOGY? Billy Porter, who identifies with his same-sex attractions, will be cast as Cinderella’s magic-weaving godparent. Porter, celebrated in Broadway circles for wearing women’s clothing, told CBS on Monday that he thought it “profound” that he was playing the role.  “It hit me when I was on the set last week, how profound it is that I am playing the fairy godmother — they call it the Fab G," he said, without specifying who “they” were. "Magic has no gender," he continued. Idiot! “We are presenting this character as genderless. That’s how I’m playing it. And it’s really powerful.”  Powerful - No! This very confused person will only bring total confusion and deception to a cherished role. Once again movie...
