Oregon official who bullied Christian bakery owners loses election

Image
An Oregon bureaucrat who waged political jihad against the owners of a Christian bakery was given the heave-ho by voters. Labor Commissioner Brad Avakian was defeated by Republican Dennis Richardson in his bid to be Secretary of State. Click here to join Todd’s American Dispatch: a must-read for Conservatives! It's the first time a Republican has been elected to a statewide office in Oregon since 2002. So consider this – Avakian was too liberal for what is arguably one of the most liberal states in the country. Avakian, a passionate advocate for the LGBTQIA crowd, was thrust into the national spotlight when he declared war on a Christian bakery in 2013. Aaron and Melissa Klein, the owners of Sweet Cakes By Melissa , declined to make a wedding cake for a lesbian couple’s ceremony. The Kleins, who are devout Christians, explained that participating in a same-sex wedding would violate their deeply-held religious beliefs. The existence of those who object to homosexual sin - ‘disturbs’ Ontario’s premier

Image
Premier Kathleen Wynne says the fact that there are people who disagree with her radical social agenda “disturbs” her.  Wynne was ostensibly commenting to the  Toronto Star  on 19-year-old social conservative and devout Christian Sam Oosterhoff, who won Thursday’s byelection in Niagara-Glanbrook for the Progressive Conservative Party seat held by Tim Hudak until recently. Though Oosterhoff, a Brock University political science student, has said little about his values other than the fact that his faith is central to them, that he is “100 percent pro-life” and that he is for parental rights, that apparently is bothersome for Ontario’s first Lesbian premier. According to the Star, she told the paper before the byelection that “she was concerned that Oosterhoff’s views would undermine women’s rights and sex education in the modern era.” Wynne said, “To the extent that there are people in our society, whether they are candidates or not, who believe that taki...

The Ontario gov’t is about to redefine your relationship with your child to appease the LGBT lobby

Image
Canada is a wonderful land of freedom from sea to shining sea. It was established on the principles of peace, order and good government . Sadly, good government has often been used as a pretext for overreaching into family affairs. Of all the episodes in our history, the residential schools program might be the starkest illustration of why families need protection from the government. The aim of the residential schools was allegedly to propagate the Christian faith and integrate aboriginal people into Canadian society. In practice, it was a politically correct pretense for violating aboriginal families. And it went directly after the children. Today, residential schools have been justly described as instruments of "cultural genocide," and a bludgeon to "kill the Indian in the child." Children were forcibly removed from their families, deprived of their language and culture, and often subjected to physical and sexual abuse. Worst of all, they were f...

Trudeau kowtows to LGBT lobby with new bill making it harder to protect our kids from predators

Image
The Trudeau government has introduced legislation to lower the age of consent from 18 years of age to 16 years of age, for homosexuals. This amendment supposedly is to “ensure respect for equality rights ” according to Justice Minister Jody Wilson-Raybould , since the age of consent for heterosexual sex is set at 16 years of age. It is not the issue of “equality” that should be a concern, but rather, the fact that the amendment may be harmful to adolescents. This is because anal penetration carries different risks than vaginal sex and can leave adolescent males unprotected from exploitation and medical risks. This “equality” is not a new issue. It has been argued before in the courts by defence lawyers for older males having sex with under-age boys.  In a number of cases some judges have enthusiastically jumped on the equality bandwagon stating that the discrepancy in the age of consent between homosexual and vaginal sex infringes the guarantee of equality of adolescen...

TAIWAN: GAY MARRIAGE OPPOSITION STORMS LEGISLATIVE BUILDING

Image
Taiwan is on-track to become the very first Asian locale to legalize same-sex marriage, but not if those who oppose marriage equality have anything to say about it. Thursday saw tens of thousands of people storm Taiwan’s Legislative Yuan building as lawmakers reviewed bills that would make gay marriage legal. The protesters—many of whom were dressed in white, and who were reportedly bused in from all over the country —took to the streets outside Taipei ’s judiciary committee proceedings, shouting that the bills were being considered in a “black box.” The crowds demanded public hearings on the issue of same-sex marriage, with some calling for a plebiscite. Among those protesting, according to The New York Times , was the Alliance of Religious Groups for the Love of Families Taiwan , a group initially formed to block Taiwan’s 2013 bill. From the Hong Kong Free Press : After years of efforts by activists and legislators, hopes for legalisation were boosted with the election in Januar...

Canada Appoints LGBT Special Advisor, Moves To Repeal Anti-Gay Sodomy Law

Image
Canada ’s attorney general has announced plans to repeal Section 159 of the Criminal Code which allows prison sentences of up to 10 years for anal sex involving youths who are above the age of consent but not yet 18. Section 159 was quashed by lower courts in the 1990s but government statistics show that it continued to be used to prosecute dozens of people in recent years. Speaking at a press conference on Tuesday, Minister for Justice and Attorney General Jody Wilson-Raybould (above) said “our society has evolved over the past few decades and our criminal justice system needs to evolve as well.” On the same day, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau (below right) appointed MP Randy Boissonnault as a special advisor on LGBT issues. Boissonnault will consult with the LBGT community on a formal apology for decades of persecution and discrimination. According to Yahoo! , the initiatives are part of Trudeau efforts to normalize and promote LGBT rights both domestically and abroad. These...

Christian JP who was sacked for his views over same-sex parents is suing Jeremy Hunt after losing his job in the NHS

A Christian magistrate sacked for speaking out against adoption by same-sex parents is suing Health Secretary Jeremy Hunt after also losing a senior NHS role. Richard Page was suspended as an NHS Trust director following decades of service in the organisation after he said it was better for children to be brought up by a man and a woman. It was claimed his remarks ‘undermined’ the confidence of staff and patients, and the former NHS finance manager has now been effectively barred from working again as a non-executive director on the board at Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust (KMPT). The 70-year-old father-of-three is taking his case against Mr Hunt to an employment tribunal on the grounds of religious discrimination under the Equality Act 2010 . n March, Mr Page was dismissed as a JP after 15 years by then Justice Secretary Michael Gove and Lord Chief Justice Lord Thomas after making his comments in a BBC TV discussion. They said his views were ‘biased ...

LGBT activists defeat African nations in major victory at UN

Image
English: Emblem of the United Nations. Color is #d69d36 from the image at http://www.un.org/depts/dhl/maplib/flag.htm (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) LGBT activists were handed a victory at the United Nations today when an effort to thwart the first special U.N. independent “expert” overseeing LGBT issues failed. In a lead up to what LGBT activists considered   the most important vote   by the UN regarding their agenda in years, the UN General Assembly ’s human rights committee further paved the way for a controversial new UN post to   enforce special new rights based upon the sexual preference and behavior of individuals who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) . An African Group of 54 nations had challenged the legality of the UN bureaucratic post, and called for suspension of the appointed expert’s activities, pending further consultation on the legal basis of the mandate. Vitit Muntarbhorn of Thailand was appointed on September 30 and...

Former Gay Pride marshal faces triple-murder charges

Image
Dana Rivers, a “ male-to-female ” transgender activist who was once an “honorary marshal” for San Francisco ’s annual homosexual “pride” parade, was arrested earlier this month on triple-murder charges in Oakland, Calif. The Sacramento Bee   reported   Nov. 16: “Dana Rivers, 61, of San Jose was arrested early Friday in Oakland on suspicion of killing Patricia Wright , 57; Wright’s wife, Charlotte Reed, 56; and the couple’s 19-year-old son, Toto Diambu-Wright. Police said the two women were both stabbed and shot, and the man was stabbed. They were pronounced dead at the scene. “Police said Rivers was covered in blood and about to ride away on Reed’s motorcycle when she was arrested.” Rivers, formerly David Wakefield, became a “transgender” activist in 1999 after getting national attention for being suspended from his high school teaching job for arriving in the new school year dressed and living as a “woman” and affirming his new “female” identity to students. No Christian persecution in the US? Try telling that to these Christians.

Image
Official photographic portrait of US President Barack Obama (born 4 August 1961; assumed office 20 January 2009) (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) When I   wrote in my column last week   that many Christians voted for the Trump-Pence ticket because they felt that their communities were being threatened by the steady erosion of religious liberty under the Obama Administration , my assertion triggered a wave of emails, Facebook messages , and tweets accusing me of lying. Christians are   not   being targeted, my critics informed me, and it is   ridiculous   to say so. Obviously, to a lot of these critics that the family businesses of Christians are being shut down does not merit the description of a “threat,” because they think that this is no big deal. Those Christians are hateful homophobes, after all, and “religious liberty” is just a fancy label for “bigotry.” Others seem to think I was overstating my case, and that such things rarely, if ever happen....
