Main homosexual argumewnt against the Bible prohibition

Image
Jesus is considered by scholars such as Weber to be an example of a charismatic religious leader. (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) Pro-homosexual activists dismiss the OT prohibition on Homosexuality because it comes from Leviticus where eating certain foods and wearing certain types of clothing were also forbidden in the OT but today are ignored.  Often, pro-homosexual activists dismiss Christians as inconsistent because “they pick and choose which of the rules in the Bible to obey.” The argument proceeds along the lines of, “Christians ignore lots of OT texts—about not eating raw meat or pork or shellfish, not executing people for breaking the Sabbath, not wearing garments woven with two kinds of material, and so on. Aren’t they just picking and choosing what they want to believe from the Bible?” The root of the issue is the perceived inconsistency regarding rules mentioned in the OT that are no longer practiced by the NT people of God . Most Christians don’t know how to re...

Immutable ideology: Teens and same-sex attraction

Image
November 27, 2013 ( BreakPoint ) - A fifteen-year-old New Jersey boy, identified in court records as “ John Doe ,” has struggled with unwanted same-sex attraction since he was ten. Two years ago, at his urging, his family took him to see a therapist in New York who specialized in what court documents refer to as “ Sexual Orientation Change Efforts .” According to John Doe, the therapy has helped him. In his words, “every day would get a little better.” We know this because his family is challenging a New Jersey law that, like a similar law in California , “ban[s] licensed counselors from engaging in talk therapies that reduce the level of same-sex attractions in minors for whom such reduction is a personal goal.” As we’ve previously pointed out here on BreakPoint, not only is so-called “reparative therapy” controversial, its efficacy remains unproven. While there are people who have successively made the transition from same-sex relationships to heterosexual ones, there are...

Obama admin. threatens states that refuse same-sex ‘marriage’ benefits for the National Guard

Image
WASHINGTON, D.C. , November 27, 2013 ( LifeSiteNews.com ) – During a speech in October, Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel slammed the decision by some U.S. states to defy a Pentagon directive ordering states that do not recognize same-sex “marriage” to process spousal benefits for gay members of the National Guard . He also threatened further legal action against those states. Since then, six of the nine states that initially resisted the directive have caved in to the Pentagon’s demands, including Texas, which had been the  first  to announce its intention to buck the order. Texas cut a deal  with the DOD late Tuesday allowing homosexuals to apply for benefits at state-owned military facilities as long as the federal government provided extra staff and funding to handle those requests.  But according to Michael Boldin, Executive Director of the Tenth Amendment Center , which studies conflicts between the federal government and the states, the Constitution is on ...

Ex-lesbian spoken word poet slams Macklemore’s anthem ‘Same Love’ for claiming gays can’t change

Image
NEWARK, N.J., – Macklemore ’s “Same Love” has been called the “ Gay Equality Anthem ” by homosexual activists who are trying to redefine marriage worldwide to include same-sex couples.  Written to support the legalization of gay “marriage” in Washington state last year, the rap song reached number eleven on the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States and hit number one in Australia and New Zealand. The song and its accompanying video harshly criticize Christians (particularly Catholics, who are portrayed as hateful in the video) and “right wing conservatives” for opposing same-sex “marriage” and asserts that God made homosexuals the way they are, so they “can’t change,” even if they wanted to. Macklemore But  Jackie Hill , a spoken word artist whose poetry recitations have attracted hundreds of thousands of views on YouTube , recently told  Wade-O Radio  that Macklemore – who got his start in the spoken word poetry movement – is “lying” when he says hom...

Homosexual Bullies and Democrats

Image
English: Another version of the same-sex marriage map. (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) When history looks back on the 2012-2013 legislative year, I believe it will be remembered as the year Americans realized the same-sex marriage movement for what it truly is:  a bullying behemoth that puts the very foundations of our democracy at stake. Right now, living through it all, it's been a somewhat discouraging year for believers in true marriage. We've seen a few narrow losses in some close, hard-fought battles. In some ways, the deck was stacked against us in these states — all of which were deep blue and controlled by Democrats , most with super majorities. But the "low hanging fruit" for the other side is gone. Now we have the chance to make sure the wave of same-sex marriage momentum crests and rolls back. That story is  ours  to write: this is  your  time, along with countless other pro-marriage Americans, to make history. From the earliest days of the...

‘She’s doctored up our check!’: Couple disputes lesbian waitress’ viral claim they stiffed her

Image
BRIDGEWATER, NJ, November 26, 2013 ( LifeSiteNews.com ) – A lesbian waitress' story about anti-gay patrons who wrote on her receipt that they refused to tip because they do not “agree with your lifestyle” is a “fraud,” according to the family involved. A man and woman, who wished to remain anonymous, contacted  New York's NBC 4  to say not only did they not write the message, but they actually left the waitress a tip. Earlier this month former Marine Dayna Morales said she served a rude couple at the Gallop Asian Bistro in Bridgewater, New Jersey . Dayna Morales Instead of a tip, she said the family wrote, "I'm sorry but I cannot tip because I do not agree with your lifestyle and how you live your life." Morales posted a picture of the check on the  "Have A Gay Day"  Facebook page. (The entry has since been removed.) “I am THOROUGHLY offended, mad, p---ed off and hurt that THIS is what her kids will grow up learning and that I serve...

Italian member of parliament blasts national broadcaster for bias on ‘anti-homophobia’ bill

Image
A Sicilian member of the Italian parliament has blasted the nation’s public broadcaster over bias in favor of the pending “anti- homophobia ” bill after the broadcaster abruptly canceled an appearance by a prominent opponent of the bill.   On November 3 rd , RAI TV ( Radiotelevisione Italiana ) aired a program that was advertised as a debate on the issue of homophobia with  Giancarlo Cerrelli , the vice president of the Unione Giuristi Cattolici (Union of Catholic Lawyers). But at the last moment, the broadcaster withdrew its invitation, and the mother of a homosexual boy was substituted.  PDL Deputy Alessandro Pagano blasted RAI TV, saying that while the mainstream media may have “a vested interest to disclose a positive and reassuring image of the LGBT lobby ,” RAI should be held to a different standard as the ostensible representative of the whole country. Instead, they have demonstrated “a partial and ideological perspective” on an issue that is “sensitive an...

Rome’s new mayor creates ‘civil registry’ for same-sex partners in contravention of Italian law

Image
In an act that some have called a “derailment” of the Italian constitution , the recently-elected mayor of Rome has announced the establishment of a “registry” in the capital for same-sex partners and expressed approval of adoptions by homosexual partners. The move has been blasted by pro-family groups. Zema Angelo, director of RomaSette, the newspaper of the Diocese of Rome, said the idea is “a derailment from the constitutional principles and national legislation prepared with care, in full awareness of the futility of a possible launch of the registry and its legal irrelevance.” Mayor Ignazio Marino said November 14 th  on Repubblica TV that he is “not afraid of the word marriage between persons of the same sex” and supported adoption of children by homoesxuals provided it’s in the interests of the child. He added that Italy is “terribly backward on the subject of rights”. Rome Mayor Ignazio Marino “If two people love each other enough to get married, I do not se...
