UK: Why does PM support sodomy?

Britain marked the 50th anniversary to recognize homosexual sin by acknowledging that all of society was wrong to treat homosexuals as criminals.

The 1967 Sexual Offenses Act allowed sex between two men over 21 years of age “in private,” which excluded places such as hotels. The legislation initially covered only England and Wales, and was expanded to Scotland in 1980 and to Northern Ireland in 1982. The law did not apply to women.

Laws against "gross indecency" and "buggery" — which were used to prosecute immoral homosexual men — remained on the books until 2004. Homosexual marriage became legal in England, Wales and Scotland in 2014. It is still banned in Northern Ireland.

A ban on homosexual men and lesbians serving in Britain's military was lifted in 2000. The decision to allow homosexual to serve openly in the military was granted in 2011. British Prime Minister Theresa May; her predecessors David Cameron, Gordon Brown, Tony Blair and John Major; and Jeremy Corbyn, the leader of the opposition Labour Party, wrote supporting articles to mark the anniversary.

May said her ruling Conservative Party had previously been “wrong” on the rights of gay people. But she doesn't explain how a moral wrong was changed overnight? What was the moral imperative? Why gross indecency and buggery now to be celebrated as something good, wonderful and amazing?

In 1998, while a member of Parliament, May voted against a bill to lower the age of consent for sex for homosexual men and lesbians from 18 to 16, the age of consent for heterosexuals. The law was pushed through. In 2002, she voted against allowing homosexual couples to adopt, which was subsequently legalized.

“I am proud of the role my party has played in recent years in advocating a Britain which seeks to end discrimination on the grounds of sexuality or gender identity, but I acknowledge where we have been wrong on these issues in the past. There will justifiably be skepticism about the positions taken and votes cast down through the years by the Conservative Party, and by me, compared to where we are now. But like the country we serve, my party and I have come a long way.”

So May is now proud of homosexual sin - she wants to promote UK's gross indecency and buggery, sodomy as something - good?
