(Photo credit: Wikipedia ) Authors: Paul Cameron and Kirk Cameron Summary: A random sample of 5,182 adults from 6 U.S. metropolitan areas were questioned about incestuous sexual relationships during childhood. Incest was disproportionately reported by both male and female bisexuals and homosexuals. 148 gays (7.7% of the sample) reported 14 (50%) of same-sex, and 7 (22%) of opposite-sex incestuous experiences, and 20 (69%) of same-sex and 2 (3%) of opposite-sex sexual experiences with other relatives. 88 lesbians (3% of the sample) reported 2 (33%) of same-sex incest and 7 (9%) of opposite-sex incest and 1 (17%) of same-sex and 10 (13%) of opposite-sex sexual experiences with other relatives. 12% of 98 male homosexuals vs 0.8% of 1,224 male heterosexuals with a brother reported brother-brother incest. These findings are consonant with those of other studies in which disproportionately more incest by

What happens to the kids of homosexuals?

Sex-related outcomes have more consistently revealed distinctions, although the tone of concern about them has diminished over time. For example, while the daughters of lesbian mothers are now widely understood to be more apt to explore same-sex sexual identity and behavior, concern about this finding has faded as scholars and the general public have become more accepting of GLB identities ( Goldberg, 2010 ).  Tasker and Golombok (1997)  noted that girls raised by lesbian mothers reported a higher number of sexual partners in young adulthood than daughters of heterosexual mothers. Boys with lesbian mothers, on the other hand, appear to display the opposite trend—fewer partners than the sons of heterosexual mothers. Therefore it is a lie to say there is no effect. But the LGBT community will continue to ignore and debate any such findings regardless of how legitimate.  Related articles Why it's never too late to be a lesbian (guardian.co.uk) My Bisexual Guilt (pers

How Do I Deal with My Same-Sex, Physical Attractions to Other Men?

Your discontent is a sign that you have not accepted an identity as a “gay” man. It’s a sign that your heart is open to moving in a godly direction. Generally, it’s a mistake to suppress your same-sex attractions in terms of trying to pretend they don’t exist. Driving the attractions underground will make them grow stronger. God wants us to be honest about ourselves ( Psalm 51:6 ). It’s better to admit their presence and then try to understand and confront them. Although some would have you believe there is a substantial body of scientific research connecting same-sex attractions to a biological or genetic cause, there is no credible evidence to support such a claim. If biological and genetic factors do exist, they fall under the same category as a “predisposition” to other biblically unjustifiable or self-destructiv

While biological predispositions may contribute to any unwanted struggle, same-sex attractions are probably not something you were born with nor did you choose to have them. There are other reasons you are sexually attracted to men. It is more likely that you are confused by significant relationships and events in your life (some of which you may not even be aware of) that have caused you to have sexual attractions for men. Not born Homosexual

Image
Image via Wikipedia First,  after many years of intense research, a genetic component to homosexual desires has not been discovered.   Twin studies show that identical twins do not consistently have the same sexual orientation . In fact, genetics probably explains very little about homosexual desires.  How would a homosexual “gene” be passed on? Homosexuals don’t pass on anything because homosexual unions don’t reproduce. Second, while desires are not a choice, sexual  behavior  always is. So regardless of the source of sexual desires, people are certainly capable of controlling their sexual behavior.  If you claim that they are not—that sexual behavior is somehow uncontrollable—then you have made the absurd contention that no one can be morally responsible for any sexual crime , including rape, incest, and pedophilia. Third, the “born-that-way” claim is an argument from design — “since God designed me with these desires, I ought to act on them.” But the people who say this overl
