WHY ARE JOURNALIST LYING ABOUT SAME SEX MARRIAGE? First, the media lied that Melbourne was “plastered” with homophobic posters by “no” campaigners. Channel 10 even faked a picture of one . Now, the media is spreading more untruths, false claims that three women in a “no” campaign advertisement are liars. Last week, the Coalition for Marriage aired a TV commercial arguing for a no vote on same-sex marriage. It featured three women: Heidi McIvor , a Sale pastor; Cella White , a Melbourne mother; and Dr Pansy Lai , a Sydney GP and founder of the Australian Chinese for Families Association. The women made two claims, in particular, that set off a furore. First, White, warning how far the same-sex marriage push would go, talked of her son’s experience at Frankston High: “The school told my son that he could wear a dress to school next year if he wanted.” Then Lai added: “Kids in year 7 are being asked to role-play being in a same-sex relationship.” Since then, the women

We want to thank you for giving voice to something that we learned by experience: Every human being has a mother and a father, and to cut either from a child’s life is to rob the child of dignity, humanity, and equality. We know that gay parents can be loving, since we loved our parents and they loved us. Channel 7's Sunrise show has joined with GetUp! and the magazine Marie Claire to promote same-sex marriage throughout this week, and particularly this Thursday June 7th with the  ido.org.au  campaign. Newspapers are reporting on Thursday there'll be outside broadcasts in Melbourne and Sydney to launch the push and how it intends to take the campaign to Canberra The executive producer of Sunrise Michael Pell said that it was important that the show took a stand and it had the full support of presenters David Koch and Melissa Doyle . The  Herald Sun  reports him saying " For a long time now they have both been behind the whole gay marriage issue. They understand everyone does not support it, but a show like Sunrise, we care. We are trying to make a difference, affect change rather than just comment on it. It's not an issue about sexuality, it's a human rights issue."
