June, the formerly wonderful month marking the beginning of summer, is now a dreadful 30-day ordeal during which corporate America, news and social media compete to display their “wokeness,” relentlessly force-feeding us LGBT propaganda whether we like it or not.   Many don’t like it. Those of us who formerly lived as gays, lesbians, and transgender men and women are especially appalled by it. “Pride Month” has come to an end. And for the first two days of July, the first readings at Mass told the story of Sodom and Gomorrah. I’d call that a coincidence — if I believed in coincidences. Just after the middle of the month, Joseph Sciambra posted a very provocative comment on his Facebook page. Sciambra knows whereof he speaks; having once been caught up in the homosexual underworld, since experiencing a conversion he has made it his special mission to reach out to homosexuals, helping to heal their wounds. And they are wounded. The grotesque excesses on display at “Gay Pride” events are evidence that these people need help. A petition supporting two British children suspended from school for their Christian faith has attracted more than 11,000 signatures. Ten-year-old Kaysey and Farrell are both pupils of Heavers Farm Primary School in Croydon, a neighbourhood in South London. Last month, the children, a girl and a boy, asked their teacher if they could be excused from a lesson in which they were asked to color in LGBT “Pride Month” material. Although the children cited their religious objections, he refused and afterward allegedly accused them of “homophobic language.” According to Christian Concern, a legal advocacy group, Farrell was accused of having said “LGBT sucks and LGBT’s dumb,” which he denies. The teacher asked the children if they wanted LGBT people to die, and they said that they didn’t. They said, however, that in their countries of origin they would be punished for being gay. Joe Carter has a really important article about LGBT Pride Month as a religious observance. You need to read the whole thing, but here is the heart of it: Because the LGBT agenda of normalizing homosexuality and transgenderism conflicts with Christianity (at least in its non-apostate forms), to “eliminate prejudice” requires anathematizing the beliefs of Bible-believing Christians. Is there any religious, political, or another social group that secures – demands – the attention of the whole globe for an entire month? Bishop Thomas Tobin of Providence, Rhode Island, recently issued a statement on Twitter warning Catholics about events that celebrate gay pride month. "Catholics should be very wary of events in the June LGBTQ month. It’s not a fun-filled, family-friendly celebration of respect. First daughter and presidential adviser Ivanka Trump went out of her way to celebrate June as  “LGBT Pride Month”  on Twitter , but many homosexual and transgender activists were having none of it. Neither was at least one fellow Orthodox Jew , who said it was “massively offensive” for Ivanka — as a  professed follower of Orthodox Judaism  — to “honor” homosexual “pride” in the same tweet mentioning Shavuot (Shavu’ot), the Jewish holiday Feast of Weeks celebrating God’s gift of the Torah to his people. The Torah, the first five books of the Old Testament, is the basis for much of Judeo-Christian and Western law and moral tradition, which includes a proscription of homosexual acts as sinful. Ivanka Trump, like her husband Jared Kushner (also a Trump adviser), curiously embraces both Orthodox Judaism and the homosexual agenda, including  same-sex “marriage.” On June 1, Ivanka  tweeted , “Logging back on after Shavuot, wishing everyone a joyful  #Pride2017 .
