I get all kinds of interesting calls on the phone. I never really know who it might be. Sometimes a politician or a school trustee. Sometimes a bishop. Sometimes a crank.  I’m glad I didn’t pick up phone calls on Saturday. Instead, I let them go to voicemail. But when I checked one message later that evening, I couldn’t believe what someone — who identified himself as a “moral human being” — went out of his way to tell me.  “Hello Pete, I just read your article written on January 18. And I have to say you are an absolutely disgusting human being,” the caller said.  My mind immediately went racing. What article had I written on that date that so offended this fellow? Česky: (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) People talk about  homosexuality  in terms of sexual orientation -- you know, the "way they are oriented regarding sex."  That got me thinking.  What do you do with those who have a different "truth orientation"? -- you know, the "way they are oriented regarding truth."  I think that the homosexual proponents should be consistent and advocate civil rights to those who have a different truth orientation; that is, they should support the legal protection of liars. "A hate crime is usually defined by state law as one that involves threats, harassment, or physical harm and is motivated by prejudice against someone's race, color, religion, national origin, ethnicity, sexual orientation or physical or mental disability." 1 I'm amazed at how successful the homosexual community has been to get "hate crime" added in legalese to include their sexual behavior within it.  This way, they can get special rights and protection for their lifestyle.  Remember, homosexuality is a behavior and a lifestyle; race, color, religion, national origin, and ethnicity are not.  So, by having what they call "sexual orientation" included in the definition of hate crime, this means that the exact same crime against a homosexual is met with a stiffer penalty than against anyone else.  How is

After doing the panel discussion on al-Jazeera last night, and coming across countless more articles about same-sex parenting today, I'm a little tired of being diplomatic. Maybe there are moments when a bit of bluntness is appropriate. In a best case scenario, there is a widow who comes out of the closet after her husband dies, and then gets help from a lesbian lover while raising her children. She makes sure not to trample on their father's memory, and doesn't force them to call her new lover "Mom." In that one rare, specific, unintentional case, yes, same-sex parenting is okay. Every other scenario involving a same-sex couple with exclusive custody of small children is adult misconduct at best or a crime against humanity at worst. Are people ever born with conditions that are not normal and sometimes harmful? Is there any difference between sexual desires (“orientation”) and sexual behavior? Should people act on every desire they have? Homosexuals are born as males or females, so why should they follow their desires but not the design of their bodies?  Some homosexuals insist that they have had homosexual desires as long as they can remember. Somehow this is supposed to prove that these desires are the result of nature not nurture.
