Biology is not bigotry

Image
LGBT activists like to portray their small community as victims of bigotry, hatred, and harassment. They use that portrayal, with the help of their allies in the media, in a relentless push to force all of society to accept their skewed, false narrative about the intrinsic nature of men and women, and human sexuality. Consider these two cases currently in the news: Isabella Chow is a student at UC Berkeley in California and is an elected member of the campus Student Senate. She is also a Christian. LGBT activists presented a student resolution to express support for transgenderism. This is not something that Chow could do and maintain her beliefs that God made us male and female. So she decided to abstain on the resolution after issuing a statement that all people, including those who identify as transgendered, are entitled to God's love and should be free from discrimination. For this, she's been brutally attacked in the public square, yelled at on the way to class, conf

Genderless (Gay) Marriage has led to Happy You Day (Mothers Day)

Image
The UK food retailer Waitrose is selling gender-neutral Mother’s Day cards as retailers reduce their use of the M-word to make today’s celebration in Britain more “ transgender inclusive”. The supermarket chain is selling a “Happy You Day” card in which the word “mother” does not appear. Waitrose said the move was aimed at “broadening out who the cards can go to, whether it’s grandmas or transgender mums”. Traditional cards are still sold. Happy Mother’s Day. Picture: Thinkstock . Waitrose has been joined by other retailers, including Scribbler, whose Mother’s Day offerings include a “Two mums are better than one” card for same-sex couples and a “Dad, thanks for being the most amazing mum” card for single fathers and transgender parents. The changes come after calls by some transgender activists to rename Mother’s Day. Suggested alternatives include Special Person’s Day, Guardian ’s Day and Carer’s Day. Florida county on verge of banning ‘conversion therapy’ for gender confused kids

Image
Reparative therapy for minors is one step closer to being banned in some areas of Miami-Dade County, Florida . An ordinance   banning counseling or treatment for same-sex attraction or gender confusion passed unanimously last month at a Public Safety and Health Committee hearing . The regulation now faces a full commission vote,   according   to NBC Miami . “[...] It is shown by data and medical evidence that [ conversion therapy ] is dangerous and detrimental,” said Commissioner Sally Heyman , who introduced the measure in May. Banning the therapy throughout the county as a first step would have slowed the process, she said, because in that case the county would have to go through each municipality’s government. She hopes the ban spurs the other cities action in issuing a ban. If the ordinance passes the full commission vote, reparative therapy for minors would become illegal in unincorporated parts of Miami -Dade County. Heyman is urging other cities in Miami-Dade Coun

American College of Pediatrics reaches decision: Transgenderism of children is child abuse

Image
The American College of Pediatricians issued a statement this week condemning gender reclassification in children by stating that transgenderism in children amounts to child abuse . “The American College of Pediatricians urges educators and legislators to reject all policies that condition children to accept as normal a life of chemical and surgical impersonation of the opposite sex. Facts – not ideology – determine reality.” The policy statement , authored by Johns Hopkins Medical School Psychology Professor Paul McHugh, listed eight arguments on why gender reclassification is harmful. 1. Human sexuality is an objective biological binary trait: “ XY ” and “XX” are genetic markers of health – not genetic markers of a disorder. 2. No one is born with a gender. Everyone is born with a biological sex . Gender (an awareness and sense of oneself as male or female) is a sociological and psychological concept; not an objective biological one. 3. A person’s belief that he or she is

Obama fights back after judge blocks transgender bathroom mandate

Image
The Obama administration is appealing an injunction against its mandate for transgender bathrooms in public schools. Last Tuesday, U.S. District Court Judge Reed O'Connor rejected the Justice Department 's request to limit his nationwide injunction against enforcement of Obama's redefined Title IX law that mandated opposite sex use of showers, locker rooms, and toilets. Obama threatened public schools with losing federal funding if they failed to comply. The Justice Department had requested that O'Connor's injunction be limited to the 13 states where attorney generals sued to stop government-imposed transgender bathrooms. The judge   responded   that not only does he have the authority to issue a nationwide injunction, but "a geographically-limited injunction would be ineffective" because "both Title IX and Title VII rely on the consistent, uniform application of national standards." On Friday, the Obama Department of Education file

Transgender thought police with $250,000 fines

New York City is investigating 31 cases of gender identity discrimination under the city’s Human Rights Law, which prohibits acts of discrimination such as misusing a person’s gender pronouns, a spokesperson for the city’s Commission On Human Rights told The Daily Caller. The city did not elaborate on any of the case specifics. As reported by The DC three months ago, individuals living in New York City can choose from a minimum of 31 different gender identities, many of which allow the person to fluctuate between some version or combination of male or female identities. Businesses that don’t respect and accommodate an individual’s chosen gender identity risk incurring six-figure fines under rules implemented by the city’s Commission on Human Rights. One of the aspects of respecting an individual’s gender identity is using their preferred pronouns, even if they prefer gender neutral pronouns like “ze.” Businesses found in violation of the law face up a fine of up to $250,000. The confused erroneous world of transgenderism

TRANSGENDERISM IS A MENTAL HEALTH ISSUE. You can't change your race, or your genetics, hence it is an emotional mental health issue.  It is an LGBT agenda issue that is seeking to become a human right.  Read the confusion below.  ............................................................................................................... According the Connecticut Department of Children and Families (DCF), which published an LGBT glossary of more than 250 terms, the belief that there are only two genders — male and female — should be treated as “genderism.” The guide, which was published as part of the DCF’s Safe Harbors Project and was last updated July 7, defines “genderism” as: “The system of belief that there are only two genders (men and women) and that gender is inherently tied to one’s sex assigned at birth. It holds cisgender people as superior to transgender people, and punishes or excludes those who don’t conform to society’s expectations of gender.” “Gender oppr

Crazy Tasmanian Law - offended homosexuals will take you to court

Image
A Tasmanian woman (transgender - Green Candidate for Federal Parliament)  is taking the Catholic Archbishop of Hobart to the Anti-Discrimination Commission over the contents of a booklet sent to Catholics around Australia earlier this year about same-sex marriage. Here, Associate Professor of Law, Neil Foster examines the basis of the claim. There are press reports (see also here ) that the Roman Catholic Archbishop of Hobart is being sued under s 17 of Tasmania’s Anti-Discrimination Act 1998 for causing “offence” or “humiliation”. This was alleged to have been done by the Archbishop causing to be sent to Roman Catholic schools in his diocese, a booklet outlining the church views on marriage, and in particular expressing the well-known opposition of the church to the introduction of same sex marriage. A copy of the booklet, “Don’t Mess with Marriage”, can be downloaded here . It seems clear but also very respectful, and keen to condemn any ill-treatment of those with a same

Homosexual transgender Green candidate takes Catholic Bishop to Court

Image
A news story in The Australian this morning indicates that the Tasmanian Anti-Discrimination Commission has found a preliminary “case to answer” in relation to a claim of sexual orientation discrimination against not only the Archbishop of Hobart , Julian Porteous, but also “all Australia ’s Catholic bishops.” We have known for some time that Greens political candidate Martine Delaney had made a complaint against Archbishop Porteous, but the additional feature of the decision of the Anti-Discrimination Commission is the inclusion of other Catholic Bishops from all around Australia. The booklet distributed to parents of students at Roman Catholic schools by Archbishop Porteous is entitled, “Don’t Mess with Marriage,” and was produced by the Australian Catholic Bishops Conference . The booklet eschews all forms of “unjust discrimination,” and goes on to say, “some suggest that it is unjustly discriminatory not to allow people with same-sex attraction to marry someone of the sam

Extend tolerance to Catholic teachings, too

Freedom of choice. It’s a universally accepted, fundamental rule of civilised society. But which freedom has command over another in the hierarchy of rights? Does freedom of speech outrank freedom of opinion, and are they both junior to freedom of information anyway? And what of religious freedom, the right of individuals and organisations to follow the dictates and teachings of their faith without unfair and unjustified interference? Where does that fall in the freedom pecking order? I ask this in response to another anti-choice offensive from the Greens , this time in Tasmania, questioning the Catholic Church’s ability to reinforce its religious beliefs to families that have made a deliberate choice to educate their children in a Catholic school . The Greens’ anti-discrimination complaint centres on a pastoral letter the Australian Catholic Bishops Conference that I chair asked schools to distribute to parents detailing the church’s position on same-sex marriage. I must note t

Obama backs ‘Equality Act,’ which could harm religious liberty

Image
President Obama says he backs "The Equality Act ," which would add gender identity and sexual orientation to the 1964 Civil Rights Act. "Upon that review it is now clear that the administration strongly supports the Equality Act,” White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest announced on Tuesday. “That bill is historic legislation that would advance the cause of equality for millions of Americans. “We look forward to working with Congress to ensure that the legislative process produces a result that balances both the bedrock principles of civil rights...with the religious liberty that we hold dear in this country,” said Earnest. The bill was introduced in July in the Senate by Democratic Senators Jeff Merkley of Oregon, Tammy Baldwin of Wisconsin, and Cory Booker of New Jersey, and in the House by Rep. David Cicilline of Rhode Island. LGBT advocates are praising the bill, which is considered to be a long-shot with GOP control of Congress. The Human Rights Campaign
