I have a dream.  In my dream, hundreds of parents, doctors, counselors, are protesting outside children's hospitals throughout America. They keep protesting, not just for one day, but for months. They march in front of Lurie Children's in Chicago, Boston Children's, Children's Hospital of Los Angeles, San Francisco Benioff Children's Hospital, Nationwide Children's in Columbus, Cincinnati Children's, Children's Medical Center in Dallas and unfortunately, many, many others. Through faces of anguish, outrage, and determination, the spirit of truth prevails. They carry signs with messages like these: "Stop mutilating young bodies!" "Your white coats hide black hearts!" "Gender 'change' is impossible! Stop the abuse!" "Keep Big Pharma hormones out of my child's body!" "Malpractice suits ahead — stop the gender train!" A recent article in a venerable American magazine expresses the belief that suffering can be relieved through sex reassignments, and yet it has inspired a volley of angry tweets and articles from trans activists. Why? Because of the author of the Atlantic piece , Jesse Singal, interviews women who have regretted their transgender treatments, parents who resisted pressure to allow their minor children hormone therapy, and sex-reassignment therapists who urge caution. Victor Manuel Markoff tweeted, “F(***) off with this transphobia. And on pride month too. This article and cover are an absolute disgrace. You should be ashamed of yourself.” Parker Malloy tweeted, “This guy’s one-man crusade against trans people has gone on for years. It really doesn’t make sense. The  New York Daily News  gossip column reported a girl was making the rounds in Manhattan clubs who admitted to being a man in 1965. She had undergone a sex-change operation in Baltimore at the Johns Hopkins gender clinic. By 1979, thirteen years later, enough gender surgeries had been performed to evaluate the results.
