An annoyingly overused phrase in modern bureaucratic lingo is “evidence-based,” which means that public policies should be backed by research and evidence showing their efficacy. No argument there – except that shoddy, agenda-driven “research ” can be produced to justify a lot of things that turn out to be very bad ideas. It’s common practice for federal bureaucrats to design and then publicize biased studies to promote their preferred policy. We outlined this practice in our new book,  Deconstructing the Administrative State: The Fight for Liberty . The process is simple:  (1) issue requests for research proposals slanted in favor of a particular outcome,  (2) fund studies that reach the expected conclusions, and  (3) cite that research in subsequent studies to claim that a “growing body of evidence” favors the preferred policy. They consistently change the subject away from these consequences and back to their favorite topic: the hatefulness of anyone who brings them up . A sharp increase in the incidence of syphilis in the U.S. and Canada has led health authorities in both countries to warn of a shortage of the antibiotic Bicillin and the Canadian Public Health Authority to call for it to be reserved for pregnant women.   The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention based in Atlanta issued their advisory on April 29, reporting the shortage nation-wide of Bicillin or Benzathine penicillin G , which it said was not only “the recommended treatment for syphilis” but “the only treatment option for pregnant women infected with or exposed to syphilis.” Both American and Canadian health authorities blame the rise in STD infection on the increase in anonymous sex facilitated by social media.  Its Canadian counterpart went further, recommending supplies be doled out first to pregnant women with syphilis, then to infected men who could not be relied upon to submit to less effective and more onerous treatment regimes, and third to pregnant

People who suffer from gender confusion are encouraged by the current cultural climate to "be themselves," meaning reject the gender they were born with. "Transgender" teens are taught that what they feel is who they are and that to be happy and fulfilled, they must become the opposite sex. When Bruce Jenner decided to publicly look like a woman, he was supported by the mass media . Even the president of the United States , when Jenner decided to have castration surgery, applauded him as a "courageous" hero. But studies repeatedly show that "transgender" people who seek to become the opposite sex are in fact not happy or fulfilled. Eastern Health said that last year there were a total of 26 cases of the sexually transmitted disease - already unusually high - but there have already been 15 cases of syphilis reported in the first three months of 2015. The health authority said that the majority of the syphilis cases have been diagnosed in homosexual men between the ages of 20 and 49.
