Gov. Chris Christie: banning parents from helping their children overcome the destructive pull of sinful homosexuality:

Governor of New Jersey at a town hall in Hillsborough, NJ 3/2/11 (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) New Jersey   Gov. Chris Christie  succumbed to homosexual activist propaganda and myths in  signing into law  a bill that bans professional counselors in the Garden State “from attempting to change a minor’s sexual orientation.” LaBarbera made the following points regarding Republican Christie siding with the “Big Gay Government” agenda by banning parents from helping their children overcome the destructive pull of homosexuality: 1) Christie cited the pro-“gay” American Psychological Association  in claiming that efforts to change sexual orientation “can pose critical health risks” to children. But he strangely did not mention the existence of successful, happy  former  homosexuals. Nor did he acknowledge the widely-available data pointing to the myriad health risks associated with homosexual behavior itself – such as the  rising HIV risk  among “young men who have sex with men.”

Homosexual politician says Homosexual Attraction Therapy equals child abuse and we will remove your child

Few people doubt that New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie hopes to become president in 2016. Unfortunately for him, he may have just signed away any chance of that. On Monday, Christie signed A3371, a draconian piece of legislation that bars licensed therapists from helping children overcome unwanted same-sex attractions , behavior or identity. This law bans help for minors even when – as is so often the case – those same-sex attractions arise from childhood sexual abuse by the likes of a Jerry Sandusky . This law will prohibit minors and their parents from receiving counseling they desire and will force counselors to violate ethical codes because they will not be able to help clients reach their own counseling goals. This law would enslave children – whether abused or not – to a subjectively determined sexual identity that they reject. The connection between homosexual abuse and “gay identity” is undeniable. Consider this: Researchers from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevent

Chris Christie signs ban on reparative therapy; Liberty Counsel promises to sue

TRENTON , NJ , August 19, 2013 ( LifeSiteNew s.com ) – Chris Christie signed a controversial bill that bans parents from seeking therapy to help their underage children reduce unwanted same-sex attraction today. In his signing statement (reproduced below), he said he supported the “government limiting parental choice on the care and treatment of their own children” only “reluctantly.” However, he felt that “exposing children to these health risks without clear evidence of benefits that outweigh these serious risks is not appropriate.” Christie also signed a bill allowing children greater access to edible medicinal marijuana. Critics say medicinal marijuana has not been adequately tested. In a press release that accompanied the statement, Christie said, “I’ve always believed that people are born with the predisposition to be homosexual,” quoting a statement he made on CNN . “My religion says [homosexuality is] a sin. But for me, I don’t” agree. New Jersey is the se

Loose your child if taken to homosexual reparative therapy?

TRENTON , NJ, July 19, 2013 ( LifeSiteNews.com ) – New Jersey Governor Chris Christie has given an uncertain answer about whether he will sign a statewide bill that would not only ban therapists from helping minors who are struggling with unwanted same-sex attraction but could cost parents who seek such help from pastoral counselors to lose custody of their children. The National Association for Research and Therapy of Homosexuality (NARTH) is calling on citizens to contact Governor Christie and ask him to veto the bill, which was passed by the state legislature last month. If signed into law, the legislation would bar counselors from providing minors with reparative therapy , which seeks to help people overcome sexual attractions to members of the same sex and move toward developing healthy relationships with the opposite sex. It is similar to a ban that was recently passed in California , but  temporarily blocked  by a federal judge on the grounds that it may violate

Gay advocates invoke "sacred" into gay marriage

Image
Image via Wikipedia What is a "sacred value"? I got to thinking about that after  this interview  with the  Los Angeles Times  on the changing message of advocates of gay marriage : The message "used to be one that focused on rights, parity in benefits," said Fred Sainz, vice president of communications and marketing for the Human Rights Campaign , a national gay rights group based in Washington, D.C. Since about 2008, Sainz said, same-sex marriage activists have begun "talking about love, honor and commitment." Then the  LA Times  quotes my response: "Our messaging hasn't changed because it's based on truth and reality," said Brian S. Brown , president of the National Organization for Marriage . "It's not that complicated. You don't need sophisticated talking points to present a common-sense truth." What gay-marriage advocates are now doing is trying to make gay marriage into a "sacred value," something eve

New Jersey Gov. Christie vetoes gay ‘marriage’ bill, emphasizes civil union benefits

Image via Wikipedia TRENTON, New Jersey , February 20, 2012 ( LifeSiteNews.com ) - New Jersey governor Chris Christie vetoed a gay “marriage” bill hours after it passed the legislature on Friday, saying that the issue should be offered to voters in a referendum to decide. “I am adhering to what I’ve said since this bill was first introduced – an issue of this magnitude and importance, which requires a constitutional amendment, should be left to the people of New Jersey to decide,” Christie said in his statement accompanying the veto. Christie emphasized that he has been “just as adamant that same-sex couples in a civil union deserve the very same rights and benefits enjoyed by married couples – as well as the strict enforcement of those rights and benefits.” Therefore, he said, the “conditional veto” would include the creation of an “Ombudsman for Civil Unions ” to increase awareness of and compliance with the civil union law. The Senate had passed a measure redefining marriage on Mo
