Bible rejects homosexual argument and slavery logic

English: Abraham Sees Sodom in Flames, circa 1896–1902, by James Jacques Joseph Tissot (French, 1836-1902) (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) There are, in our day, two principle competing views on how to answer this question. Because we live in a world where those committing sexual perversion have become a protected class , certain circles of the church have rushed to accommodate them. The up and coming theory, however anti- intuitive it might be is this- God destroyed Sodom not because it was a city given over to perversion, but because it was a city that failed to exercise hospitality. God’s wrath was poured out not because the men of Sodom, pounding on Lot’s door, wanted to sexually assault the angels, but because the angels were not treated with grace and compassion. It wasn’t what they wanted to take, but what they failed to give. The more conservative wing of the church, of course, takes an older view, a more intuitive view. The narrative here goes like this- Sodom was a ci

Homosexuals today commonly claim that they cannot help being homosexual. Homosexuality, they argue, is innate: perhaps genetically determined, in any case inescapable. It is what they are. God made them that way. Therefore, they conclude, church and society should accept their homosexuality as natural and normal. Similar questions arise in other areas. Some years ago, it was learned that an abnormally high proportion of men with a “double y” ( XYY ) chromosome engage in anti-social or criminal behavior . Later came the discovery that a certain gene is associated with a relatively high percentage of alcoholics. And still more recently,  Simon LeVay , a gay activist and neuroscientist, argued that there are some significant differences between the brains of exclusive homosexuals and those of presumed heterosexuals. Does this research imply that homosexuality is an innate condition rather than a choice? Can it not be helped, and therefore accepted as normal? I believe there were some

TWISTING SCRIPTURE Romans 1:26–27 The Prime Minister of Australia beleives he is quoting scripture but is actually quoting cult homosexual churches. The Metropolitan Community Church ( MCC ), founded by Troy Perry , was the first denomination started for homosexuals. After studying the Bible, Perry concluded that Christianity and homosexuality were compatible. Freedome2b.org are doing the same thing. Yet these verses clearly show that homosexuality is not “natural” but instead is “unnatural” and “shameless.” Paul wrote in 1 Co 6:9 that practicing homosexuals, along with sexually immoral people, idolaters, adulterers, male prostitutes, thieves, greedy people, drunkards, revilers, or swindlers will not enter the kingdom of God. Paul went on to say, “Some of you were like this; but you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God ” (1 Co 6:11). Kevin Rudd who claims to be a Christian supports homosexual marriage because the Bible mentions slavery?

This is the standard homosexual argument that has been passed onto Kevin Rudd as sound biblical understanding.  So, let's look at slavery and see if Kevin Rudd is correct.  There is a tendency to look at slavery as something of the past. But it is estimated that there are today over 27 million people in the world who are subject to slavery: forced labor, sex trade, inheritable property, etc. As those who have been redeemed from the slavery of sin, followers of  Jesus Christ  should be the foremost champions of ending human slavery in the world today. The question arises, though, why does the Bible not speak out strongly against slavery? Why does the Bible,
