The Coopers boycott in response to the Bible Society ’s video about marriage equality has stifled free speech and done little to add to the debate , a leading human rights expert says. The Bible Society video featured Liberal federal politicians Tim Wilson and Andrew Hastie , dubbed the “ MP for same-sex marriage” and “MP for traditional marriage” respectively, clinking Coopers bottles with host Matt Andrews moderating a discussion about differing views on marriage equality.  A normal ordinary conversation on homosexual marriage. Now it seems it’s perilous even to discuss it. In Australia, Coopers beer – which is delicious, by the way – has found itself the target of a bizarre, shrill hipster boycott after its wares featured in a Bible Society video debate about gay marriage.
