‘Bastion of Hate’ Professors Demand KU Evict Chick-fil-A

Image
Nothing triggers a leftist faster than a Chick-fil-A sandwich. That’s actually a sentence I lifted from my forthcoming book, “Culture Jihad: How to Stop the Left From Killing a Nation.” And the most recent triggering happened at the University of Kansas where a number of aggrieved faculty members are demanding that a Chick-fil-A franchise be removed from campus. “A bastion of bigotry,” the Sexuality & Gender Diversity Faculty and Staff Council wrote in a two-page letter to university leaders. “The culture of Chick-fil-A fosters hate and discrimination on multiple levels,” they declared. “In short, Chick-fil-A on KU’s campus stands in direct contrast to the university’s mission of fostering a multicultural, inclusive environment.” For the sake of full disclosure, I’m writing this column while eating Chick-fil-A nuggets and a delicious bowl of their new macaroni and cheese. NOT FIT TO BE A SOCIAL WORKER IF YOU THINK HOMOSEXUALITY IS SINFUL - LGBT AGENDA Devout Christian, 40, who was thrown off a university social work course after he posted 'homosexuality is a sin' on Facebook to argue in the High Court that the ruling puts doctors and teachers at risk of disqualification. Felix Ngole, 40, a devout Christian, posted 'homosexuality is a sin' on Facebook He was kicked off his two-year Sheffield University social work course. A court ruled the decision did not infringe his human right to freedom of speech. During a request to appeal Mr. Ngole will argue other professionals' are at risk. University student dismissed for expressing Biblical view on homosexuality

A recent UK court decision upheld the decision of University authorities to remove a student, Felix Ngole, from a post-graduate Social Work course, because of views he had expressed in a public social media forum about the Bible’s view on homosexuality. In my opinion the decision is a shocking breach of principles governing both religious freedom and freedom of speech, and should be over-turned as soon as possible. For Australian readers, it is also a salutary reminder that when the law on marriage changes, it becomes harder to protect religious and other freedoms. The decision,  Ngole, R (On the Application Of) v University of Sheffield  [2017] EWHC 2669 (Admin) (27 October 2017), was an application for judicial review of an administrative decision made by the Appeals Committee of the University of Sheffield Senate, on appeal from a disciplinary decision (made by a “Fitness to Practice” committee in the Department of Sociological Studies) to in effect expel Mr Ngole from hi

The High Court will rule on whether Christians who express "traditional" views on homosexuality can be barred from gaining professional qualifications after a social work student won the right to challenge his expulsion. Felix Ngole, 39, w as removed from a two-year MA course at Sheffield University in February last year after saying during a Facebook debate that "the Bible and God identify homosexuality as a sin". He received permission to mount a judicial review in a preliminary hearing at the High Court. The full case will be heard later this year. He is thought to be the first claimant to challenge a decision which barred him from a profession because his religious beliefs made him "unfit to practice". Mr Ngole, who also worked as a religious education teacher, argued that he had been unfairly stopped from completing his degree. His case is backed by the Christian Legal Centre , part of campaign group Christian Concern . Chief execut
