The Daily Record reported that the young man, River Song , whom the paper referred to as a “woman waiting for a sex-change ,” complained to police on Monday when a security guard at St. James shopping centre allegedly told him, “You are a male and always will be.” Describing the incident, Song said, “He pulled me aside and asked if I’d had a sex change. I couldn’t quite believe what I was hearing but I answered him, saying no. “He then asked me, ‘Why have you used the female bathrooms if you haven’t had a sex change?’ He asked for my ID, which I showed him. Police say the suspect, Floyd Lee Corkins II of Herndon, Va., opened fire in the lobby of 801 G Street NW, striking a security guard in the arm before being tackled to the ground by several individuals. Other sources say Corkins, 28, was complaining about FRC’s political views before he was confronted by the head security guard, Leo Johnson , who kept Corkin from advancing further into the building. August 15, 2012 ( LifeSiteNews.com ) – The sole suspect in  this morning’s shooting  at the Family Research Council headquarters in Washington D.C. has been volunteering at a community center for homosexuals, it has been revealed. Floyd Corkins II David Mariner, the executive director of The DC Center for the LGBT Community ,  told  the Associated Press that Floyd Corkins II had been volunteering at the center for the past six months or so. He described Corkins as, “kind, gentle and unassuming.” Corkins, 28, of Herndon, Virginia , allegedly entered the lobby of FRC this morning, where witnesses say he criticized the conservative organization, before opening fire.
