The Dangerous Ideology In Schools Harming Children

Image
Children are some of the most vulnerable members of our society. Unfortunately, we live in an age where it’s acceptable to harm the vulnerable as long as it promotes a popular agenda.  This is exactly what is happening in some American schools. Teachers are being instructed to promote gender confusion and gender dysphoria in students as young as kindergarten. Many five-year-old children can hardly pick a favorite color, and now they’re expected to pick their gender? Four years of lower-elementary teaching experience has taught me that children thrive understructure. They feel safe and are able to succeed because they understand their expectations.  But by telling children that their biological sex isn’t their true gender, adults are creating a fog of confusion and anxiety. One of the most concrete truths in these children’s lives has become fluid, and their burden of self-discovery has grown even heavier. Adults are removing the structure and safety of what they knew to be true, yet ex

‘Sex Change’ Isn’t Surgically Possible, My Surgeon Testified in Court

Image
Many people wonder why I’m so outspoken about the madness of prescribing cross-sex hormones and genital mutilation surgery for patients who suffer from the desire to be the opposite sex, known clinically as gender dysphoria. I speak out because I consulted the “gender experts” when I had gender confusion, and they told me sex change was the only way to get relief. But they were wrong. I didn’t need sex change — I need effective psychotherapy to resolve childhood issues. “Sex change” is pure balderdash . No one can change his or her sex. I have the document saying so. After eight years of living as a woman, I finally admitted that truth to myself and sought to reclaim my male identity. In an effort to restore my birth certificate to “male,” I formally asked two acclaimed experts in 1990 to testify to my being male in California Superior Court. They were Dr. Stanley Biber, the world-renowned sex-change surgeon who performed my operation and over 4,000 others in his career,

Security guards for Oxford prof after trans activists’ threats

Image
A University of Oxford professor has been assigned security guards for her lectures, following threats made against her by transgender activists.  Professor Selina Todd was accused of being ‘transphobic’ for challenging the narrative that transgenderism has been prevalent throughout history. She said: “You can’t help but worry. It’s had a huge impact on me. You don’t expect to be defending yourself the whole time from complaints or threats of violence”. Abuse Professor Todd was informed by two students of the online threats made against her, and the history department received “daily” complaints calling for her to be sacked. She was appreciative of her department’s support, but said “it would be far more helpful if the university could take robust action against the people making these threats in the first place”. James Kirkup, a columnist for The Daily Telegraph, highlighted Todd’s case, writing: “It is sadly normal for women – and women really are treated differently her

God Made Them Male and Female

Image
Is “gender” a social construct? Should male or female be a matter of personal choice? Are there more than two “genders”? Ten years ago, these questions were unheard of apart from English and Women’s Studies departments at secular universities. But as peculiar and even sacrilegious as it may sound, many people today would say yes to all three. Maybe your kindergartener has a playmate being raised “gender neutral.” Or your coffee shop is starting to use name tags with “preferred pronouns.” Or a bit closer to home, you might have a family member who is “transitioning.” Although the modern West has lost its boundaries and celebrates a plethora of so-called gender options, how should Christians understand and critique today’s concepts of gender in light of Scripture? We begin with understanding, and not conflating, four categories: sex, gender, norms, and callings. Sex: Male and Female The term sex has a couple of definitions. It can refer to the act of sexual intercourse or the cate

LGBT activists reveal how movement gained power, changed laws

A manifesto detailing the strategies transgender lobbying organizations have used to rapidly gain political power and unheard of cultural influence also provides insight into how the western world suddenly finds itself kowtowing to the extreme demands of trans ideology.  The title alone is alarming: “ Only Adults? Good Practices in Legal Gender Recognition for Youth .” Although the slick 64-page document deals with specific practices and tactics that have proved successful for expanding transgender policies and power in a general way, it primarily focuses on how to hand power to children to declare whatever gender they choose while squashing parental authority and concern. Only Adults? Good Practices in Legal Gender Recognition for Youth Over the years, progressives who seek to fundamentally change society have diligently developed strategies that win. They don’t promote ideas that win on their own merit; in fact, they have had amazing success promoting ideas that most people

LGBT Activists Demand Businesses Cut Ties With Church After Sermon on Transgender Issues

The Crossing Church from Columbia, Missouri, has been in the news recently — and for all the right reasons. Just last month, the church garnered national attention when it helped members of its community pay off unpaid medical bills. Through a partnership with RIP Medical Debt, a nonprofit organization that helps people pay off outstanding medical debt, church members donated more than $430,000, which was used to pay off more than $43 million of medical debt by negotiating with debt collectors. At the time, Pastor Keith Simon explained the motivation behind his congregation’s generosity:  “We do this because we feel like God has been incredibly gracious to us. He’s paid our debts. We think those who follow Jesus should be radically generous with their time, their talent, their treasure.” Today, the Missouri church is in the news for something else: Its pastor preached a sermon on Oct. 13 titled “Male and Female. Ancient Text. Modern Debate.” Using Genesis 1:27 as his te

How churches handle transgenderism

As followers of Jesus, we seek to pattern ourselves after His example. And in all things, He exemplified grace and truth. Not grace or truth, but grace and truth. How, exactly, do we work this out in practice? And how, precisely, does this apply to the issue of transgender pronouns? Recent teaching by Southern Baptist leader J.D. Greear underscored some of the challenges facing Christians today when confronted with the question of speaking to trans-identified individuals. Pronoun Hospitality On the one hand, Pastor Greear clearly emphasizes the aspect of truth. He references solid conservative Christian books addressing transgender issues written by Ryan T. Anderson and Andrew Walker.  And he states plainly that genetics determines your gender and that, “All told, when it comes to genetic sex, at the DNA level, there really is just male and female.” Then, after addressing the question of “ambiguous Genitalia and the ‘Intersexual,’” Pastor Greear gets to the pronoun questio

Fired for using the wrong pronouns

Two cases have been highlight overseas recently where a Christian employee has been fired for declining to use the “preferred pronoun” of a person who identifies as a different gender to their biological sex. The cases illustrate that religious freedom, and free speech generally, in the workplace can be under challenge in circumstances involving “gender identity” issues. It is not clear how such cases would be resolved in Australia. UK-   Dr David Mackereth  In the first case,  Mackereth v Department for Work and Pensions  (ET: Case Number: 1304602/2018; 26 Sept, 2019), in the UK, Dr David Mackereth, an experienced health care professional, had taken on a contract position as a Health and Disabilities Assessor (“HDA”) on behalf of the Department for Work and Pensions (“DWP”), undertaking assessments of clients and potential clients of the Department. His position commenced in May 2018, and at an early stage he was required to attend an induction session for new physicians.
