Australia: Premier Andrews forces Christian Schools to employ homosexuals
Religious schools and bodies could soon find it harder to discriminate against employees because of their sexuality or faith. The Andrews government's revamp of Victorian equal opportunity laws has been condemned as "anti-religious" by faith-based groups, who say it threatens their right to freedom of religion. Religious schools and groups would still be able to discriminate if they could prove that religious beliefs were linked to a job. The solution to this is for every employees is to do the Cert IV in workplace training and assessment and to teach the traditional Christian faith. In order to teach the Christian faith they must declare they are traditional Christians who adhere completely to scripture and prove evidence of Church attendance signed by their pastor. This would be a mandatory component of employment. In other words, all work in any form at a Christian school from the gardener to the principal is an expression of the love and calling of God.
