That's because the shooting was at FRC. And although the gunman was a  politically-motivated activist  who stormed a building less than a mile from the White House , there's a reason most Americans have never heard of him. After years of  insisting that  conservatives  were the hateful ones , the attack at FRC was an inconvenient storyline for a media  bent on hiding  where the real intolerance lies. The day after Floyd Corkins walked into our headquarters and opened fire, I said that while Corkins was responsible for the shooting, he had been  given a license to perpetrate this act of violence by groups like the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) which has recklessly labeled every organization with which they disagree a "hate group."

NEW HAVEN, August 23, 2012, – A Connecticut homosexual pled guilty on Tuesday to sending 300 threatening messages, including death threats, to the leader of a state pro-life, pro-marriage organization. 53-year-old Daniel Sarno of Enfield, Connecticut, admitted intimidating Peter Wolfgang, the executive director of the Family Institute of Connecticut , over a six-month period from last November until May. One message read : “No mercy for homophobes. I suggest you make your funeral arrangements real soon, Mr. Wolfgang.” Another said , “I sure hope somebody blows you away. He also had 15 Chick-fil-A sandwiches (FRC recently defended the food chain’s COO Dan Cathy for pro-natural marriage statements). The only thing standing between Corkins and mass murder was FRC facilities manager and security specialist Leo Johnson . National Organization for Marriage (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) Five days ago, a gay activist stormed the offices of the Family Research Council (FRC), a pro-marriage ally in our fight, attempted to barge into their offices with a loaded weapon, and when confronted by a security officer , tried to murder the guard and thereby intimidate Christians and marriage supporters everywhere. It's the same thing that terrorists try to accomplish—use deadly force to intimidate opponents into submission. The armed gay activist was reportedly carrying a large cache of ammunition and bags of food from Chick-Fil-A . He apparently complained about our side's pro-marriage position. August 16, 2012 ( JillStanek.com ) - I was camping yesterday morning when a friend alerted me via Twitter there had been a shooting at  Family Research Council  headquarters in Washington, D.C. Frightened for my friends, I began checking Google for news reports. Ten minutes later  the first story popped up, stating an FRC security guard had been shot in the arm, and the shooter had been arrested. A bit relieved, I went ahead with a planned day trip, tuning in to news radio in the truck to keep up with the latest. Nada. I switched to WLS radio, the Chicago ABC affiliate. More nada. I thought to myself had this been a shooting at a NARAL or GLAAD headquarters, or at a Planned Parenthood , the journalistic world  Logo of the Family Research Council.
