First openly gay Episcopal bishop scripture evader and homosexual promoter to divorce his ‘husband’

Image
NEW HAMPSHIRE,  – The first openly gay bishop the Episcopal Church , whose election in 2003 helped split the squabbling denomination in two, has announced that he and his homosexual partner of more than a quarter-century are divorcing. They were "married" in 2010 after participating in the state's civil union laws in 2008. According to Vicky Gene Robinson , who  retired  as a bishop in 2013 and is currently a senior fellow at the liberal Center for American Progress , "it takes two people to make a marriage and two people to make a divorce." But Robinson said that despite the legal separation, he "will be forever grateful to [Mark]" for "standing by me through the challenges of the last decade." Bishop Gene Robinson The divorce was the bishop's second – Robinson  was married to a woman for 14 years . Homosexual activists have responded to the news of the high-profile dissolution by saying that homosexual and heterosexual marriage

Homosexual marriage in Britain and America: Is the right to disagree being eroded?

Image
On Wednesday 13th November Hawaii, the home state of Barack Obama , became the 15th American state to legalise immoral homosexual marriage , joining New York, California , Massachusetts, Connecticut, Iowa, Delaware, Minnesota, New Hampshire , Rhode Island, Vermont, Washington, Maryland , Maine, and the District of Columbia. Huge rallies with over 10,000 protestors against this Democrat legislation were simply ignored. If that seems like a long list, it should, since these states represent approximately 35% of the US population. If you broaden your definition, there are also states like Wyoming, Wisconsin, New Mexico, Colorado, Indiana, West Virginia and Pennsylvania which have specific legal protections for homosexual couples (although not full marriage laws) and states like Illinois which has civil partnerships but not marriage laws. Factoring in all of these, and the percentage of Americans that live in a state which provides some form of legal protection to homosexual couples jump

A lesbian non-relative has parental rights, sex ed soon to become harder to avoid, and more

WASHINGTON, D.C. , February 25, 2013,  ( LifeSiteNews.com )  – As 2013 moves forward, the issues of abortion, same-sex “marriage,” and the rights of parents to ensure that public schools do not violate their moral principles have spread to statehouses across the nation. Kansas An unrelated lesbian has the same custodial rights over her former partner's children as their biological mother , the Kansas Supreme Court has ruled. The state high court ruled last Friday that Marci Frazier enjoyed the same rights over two children that her former partner, Kelly Goudschaal, conceived via artificial insemination as the biological mother herself. The justices ruled that they were upholding Frazier's relationship with Goudschaal's children in the name of “the benefits to the children,” specifically “in maintaining the inherent benefits of having two parents.” You may  read the ruling here . Washington, Maryland, Maine narrowly redefine marriage: Minnesota vote too close to call

Image
November 6, 2012 (LifeSiteNews.com) – According to early poll results, supporters of same-sex “marriage” are set to win in three states where the issue was put before voters in Tuesday’s election – spelling the end of an unbroken winning streak for traditional marriage when put to a popular vote. Meanwhile, the fate of an amendment to amend the Minnesota constitution to ban same-sex ‘marriage’ is too close to call at the time of this writing. Prior to Tuesday’s election, voters in 32 out of 32 states where marriage had appeared on the ballot had opted to protect the traditional definition of marriage. In Maryland, where the legislature voted to redefine marriage to include persons of the same sex, citizens successfully petitioned for the issue to be put to a popular vote.  Question 6  was passed  Tuesday with 52% voter support. The measure allows “gay and lesbian couples to obtain a civil marriage license, provided they are not otherwise prohibited from marrying.” In W

Democrats plan to include gay ‘marriage’ in new party platform

Image
WASHINGTON, July 30, 2012 ( LifeSiteNews.com ) - A committee in charge of drafting a new Democratic Party platform has included in its draft a plank endorsing the redefinition of marriage. The gay news outlet Washington Blade quoted Rep. Barney Frank (D-Mass.), a member of the committee, who told the paper Monday that the group unanimously backed the new marriage plank after a national hearing in Minneapolis this weekend. The 2008 Democratic National Committee (DNC) platform did not take an explicit stance on marriage, stating only that, “We support the full inclusion of all families, including same-sex couples, in the life of our nation, and support equal responsibility, benefits, and protections. We will enact a comprehensive bipartisan employment non-discrimination act. We oppose the Defense of Marriage Act and all attempts to use this issue to divide us.” “I was part of a unanimous decision to include it,” Frank said, according to the Blade. “There was a unanimous decision in

(Photo credit: Wikipedia ) HANOVER, New Hampshire , July 24, 2012 ( LifeSiteNews.com ) – Researchers at New Hampshire ’s Dartmouth College are urging parents to protect their children from sexual content in films as they release a new six-year study that found viewing such content has a significant impact on the sexual behaviour of young adults. “ Adolescents who are exposed to more sexual content in movies start having sex at younger ages,” says Dr. Ross O’Hara, adding that they also tend to have “more sexual partners” and indulge in risky sexual behaviour. Now a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Missouri , O’Hara conducted the research while he was a PhD student at Dartmouth. The study’s findings will be published in  Psychological Science , a journal of the Association for Psychological Science . Homosexuals want dictionaries to change definition of marriagemarriage definitions

Image
Gay rights supporters have been working to change the definition of marriage for years, trying to get legislatures to pass marriage equality laws and securing more rights for same-sex couples. But New Hampshire resident Mike Raven is looking at the issue more literally: He wants to convince dictionaries to print a more inclusive definition of the word "marriage."  Raven was inspired to start a petition on Change.org after seeing how upset his twin sister, who is a lesbian, was in response to North Carolina's passage of a constitutional ban on marriage equality. "If this whole argument comes down to an intangible definition of marriage, then it's time for that definition to change," he wrote on his petition. "While we cannot change the oppressive and discriminatory way that some religions continue to define marriage, we can go to an even better place.  Homosexuality is militant and will not allow anything to stand in its way. New Hampshire bill would protect Christian wedding vendors from gay ‘marriage’ lawsuits

Image
Image via Wikipedia CONCORD, January 30, 2012 ( LifeSiteNews.com ) - A bill that would protect Christian wedding vendors from being forced to provide their services to homosexual couples is making its way through the New Hampshire legislature. Although the “business protection bill” was prompted by the legalization of gay “marriage,” in New Hampshire, the legislation does not specifically reference homosexual couples. Instead, it allows business owners to turn away customers on the basis of “conscience or religious faith.” The bill was introduced by Rep. Frank Sapareto If passed, the bill would protect New Hampshire residents from the kind of lawsuits that have been filed in other parts of the country against business owners who did not want to participate in gay “wedding” ceremonies. Opponents of the measure have complained that the bill’s language is so broad that it would legalize discrimination against inter-racial couples as well. “There are some religions that still believe t

Romney dodges question about homosexual adoption in CNN interview

In response to a question by CNN ’s Wolf Blitzer about whether he thought it was “good” that homosexuals are able to adopt children during an intervi Image via Wikipedia ew last week, Former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney repeatedly dodged the question,  responding  only, “I’m not going to change that.” Romney has  previously said  that homosexuals have a “legitimate interest” in adoptions. During the CNN interview, he also said that he believes homosexual adoption should be decided on a state-by-state basis. As the interview progressed, Romney expressed his belief that “marriage” should be a term reserved for men and women, but added that if people “enter into contracts with one another that are between same-sex individuals, they’re free to do so.” “Look, if two people of the same gender want to live together and enter into a contract with each other, so be it,” he continued. “But don’t pretend that it’s marriage. And society, as a whole, will benefit by having its children,
