Former Congressman Robert Francis "Beto" O'Rourke isn't exactly setting the world on fire with his campaign for the Democratic presidential nomination. In an Emerson College poll of Democratic caucus-goers in Iowa conducted before and after the debate this week, his support was so low, it didn't even register. The man who was once considered the liberals' best hope for retaking a U.S. Senate seat in overwhelmingly red Texas is running so far in the back of the pack, he's in danger of falling out. Now, he'll have to pander to the single-issue constituencies within the Democratic Party, as well as the 'pundit-crats' who fell in love with him during his Senate bid, for enough support to keep his campaign afloat. THE UNBELIEVABLE IDIOT   Robert “Beto” O’Rourke, a Catholic and presidential candidate for the Democratic party, called for churches and religious institutions to lose their tax-exempt status if they oppose same-sex “marriage.” Joining other Democratic candidates in defending their respective LGBTQ platform stances on Thursday evening during a CNN televised town hall, O’Rourke said, “There can be no reward, no benefit, no tax break for anyone … that denies the full human rights and the full civil rights of every single one of us.” As the audience cheered, O’Rourke continued, saying, “And so as president, we are going to make that a priority, and we are going to stop those who are infringing upon the human rights of our fellow Americans.” At the CNN LGBTQ Equality town hall, co-sponsored by the pro-LGBTQ Human Rights Campaign, O’Rourke also said that efforts to help people overcome unwanted same-sex attractions, dubbed as “conversion therapy” by critics, “should be illegal
