Australian LGBT agenda finally revealed

Image
Maeve Marsden from the Brisbane Times reveals the LGBT agenda after the survey: "When the Australian Christian Lobby and supporters of the "no" vote point to the post-survey Gay Agenda and we rush to reassure them, we are cutting ourselves off from the life-blood of resilience that our history affords us. A resilience born of insurrection and riots, of redefining institutions, of lifting a middle finger to systems of oppression. Yes , marriage is not the final frontier . Yes, we want safe schools. Yes, gay conversion therapy is child abuse . Yes, we want transgender kids' agency to be respected and supported – regardless of what their parents want.  Lyle Shelton and his cronies are correct, this isn't just about marriage. And it won't end if marriage legislation passes. We're here, we're very queer and we're in for the long haul."

Christian leaders slam ‘appalling and unAustralian’ gay activists

Image
The nation’s most senior Christian leaders have described as “appalling” and “ unAustralian ” attacks from gay activists that have driven two Christian charities to request board secrecy. And the Sydney Anglican Archbishop Glenn Davies has slammed the multinational corporates who surrender to those attacks as “weak-kneed”. The Lachlan Macquarie Institute and the Australian Christian Lobby have been given permission by the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission to keep their board members’ names private on the grounds of “public safety” after abuse and threats from gay activists. Both organisations applied to the commission last week after gay rights activists targeted marriage equality advocate IBM Australia for employing Mark Allaby, who was on the institute’s board. Archbishop Davies said it was an appalling indication of the state of national debate in Australia. “It’s a very sad day in an Australian society which honours free speech and freedom of religion

One school stands strong against LGBTQ agenda

TEACHERS at one of the Hunter’s largest Catholic high schools have been issued an edict not to “say or suggest or imply” they support same-sex marriage. St Pius X High School Adamstown principal Robert Emery has written two emails to staff warning that while they should vote in the upcoming marriage law postal survey according to their conscience, they shouldn’t “put yourself out there in a way that could be detrimental to your employment or promotional prospects in a Catholic school”. Mr Emery said while staff didn’t need to delete comments previously made on social media, they should “be careful from this point onwards not to say or write anything online or in class that could be seen as contradicting Catholic Church teaching”. “That is not a sensible thing to do when you are an employee of the Catholic diocese,” he wrote. “It is completely permissible to answer student questions about the issue provided you present both sides of the debate in a fair and non-judgemental way.

Homosexual marriage slippery slope has started

Image
Just one year after marriage was redefined in Colombia , three gay men have successfully gained legal recognition for a threesome “family” , sparking warnings it would be difficult to resist this in Australia .  ACL managing director Lyle Shelton said the Columbian case demonstrated the logical consequences once legislators abolished the gender diversity requirement of the Marriage Act. “As we have seen in Columbia, redefining marriage for one group will lead to calls from other groups for further redefinition,” Mr Shelton said. “If marriage is solely about love, then it follows that people in all kinds of relationships may demand the right to be married. “Advocates for redefining marriage continue to assert that same-sex marriage will have no consequences and that there is no slippery slope. “This is why we need a plebiscite. The Australian people should be allowed to assess all of the consequences of redefining marriage and then cast a vote in the privacy of the ballot bo

Australia: To marriage ‘equality’ militants: Take our olive branch and shove it

Image
People seem to forget that the marriage plebiscite was offered as a compromise by social conservatives to deal with an issue which has dogged politics for a decade. There have been 18 failed attempts to push same-sex marriage through parliament since 2004. When does no mean no? For defenders of traditional marriage, the plebiscite was a significant concession and a risk they didn’t need to take.  But if the other side doesn’t want to come half way, then so be it. Take our olive branch and shove it where the sun don’t shine. Lyle Shelton from the Australian Christian Lobby .   “I never thought I would be meeting secretly in this country in my lifetime,” says Lyle Shelton, managing director of the Australian Christian Lobby. “It’s not the Australia I grew up in or the Australia I want for my children.” Shelton says his receptionist at ACL’s Canberra offices is regularly distressed by abusive phone calls. Uninvited visitors have intimidated staff. ACL now has to lock its d

Australia: Warren Entsch rejects conservatives' call for 'right to refuse' gay weddings

Image
Liberal MP Warren Entsch has called for exemptions to discrimination law for same-sex marriage to be “as narrow as possible”, rejecting calls by conservatives to allow businesses the “right to refuse” gay weddings. Entsch told Guardian Australia that only ministers of religion and religious organisations should be able to refuse gay weddings, not other providers of goods and services . Liberal National party MP George Christensen has called for venues, photographers and bakers to be allowed to refuse gay weddings, and senator Cory Bernardi said all businesses should be free to refuse service to anyone for any reason at all. Cory Bernardi says all businesses should be free to refuse service to anyone The ambit claims by the two conservatives set them on a collision course with the attorney general, George Brandis, who is believed to favour narrower protections for religious organisations and civil celebrants. Entsch said: “We’ve always said protections for religious organisat

Australia: Forgotten Children and Homosexual marriage

Image
One of America ’s leading public Christians and recognised by   Time Magazine   as a leader among evangelicals, he has just published his own book about the same-sex marriage crisis entitled   We Cannot Be Silent .  Until recently, there have been few Australian voices resisting this cultural tsunami and the foaming rainbow wash sweeping everything in its path.  It has fallen to a humble Toowoomba -based family GP , my friend Doctor David van Gend, to pen what is a damning indictment of the idea of redefining marriage in the Australian context.  Stealing from a Child – the injustice of ‘ marriage equality ’   is a very provocative title.  Doc, couldn’t you have toned it down a little, I wondered.  But the leaders of the successful Irish campaign to redefine marriage admitted in their book,   Ireland Says Yes , that our side’s concern for the right of children to be allowed to know the love and nurture of both their m

This is How the Homosexual Activists “Debate” – And This is How Democracy Dies

Image
What debate? What democracy? When Mark Steyn was last in Australia I of course paid close attention to what he had to say and took copious notes. One thing I recorded that especially stood out was this thought: “The Left does not want to win the debate, it wants to shut down the debate.” That is as accurate as you can get. And I know this from firsthand experience. I have been to numerous public meetings on topics such as marriage and family either as a speaker or a listener which the radical leftists and the homosexual activists sought to shut down, disrupt, and/or turn into mayhem. I have more than once even had to run the gauntlet, and be personally escorted into a venue by a line of police who had to keep the raging and hate-filled militants away from us. I have personally experienced being jostled and shoved by the angry activists, had things thrown at me, and abused me with all manner of foul and despicable language – all because I dared to think differently than

Homosexual marriage advocates amake death threats against Christian meeting

Image
A violent campaign by homosexuals against Christian groups planning to meet on the homosexual marriage plebiscite has forced several Christian groups to cancel the event at a major hotel, amid claims of physical threats from homosexual marriage advocates. Their vilent threats were real.  The Accor Hotels group confirmed late yesterday that the function had been abandoned after a social media storm triggered phone calls that “rattled” employees and left the company concerned about the safety of staff and guests. In the first test of the “civil” debate promised for a plebiscite on gay marriage , advocates for the “yes” case were being blamed last night for the kind of “hate speech” that Bill Shorten and others have claimed would come from the “no” case. The only group that are screaming, shouting, abusing and name calling are homosexual advocates.  A spokeswoman for the Mercure Sydney Airport Hotel said the campaign by marriage-equality bullies had forced the company to

Printer intimidated by book?

Image
A printer has reportedly pulled out from publishing a book on same sex marriage written by a Toowoomba doctor because of its controversial subject matter. Television host Andrew Bolt , speaking on Sky News , said the printer had previously agreed to print the book, which argues against homosexual marriage . The book, named "Stealing From a Child: The Injustice of Marriage Equality" was written by Dr David van Gend and is due to be officially launched at a function in Brisbane tonight. groups are planning to protest the book, arguing it is inflammatory and denigrates gay people. The book has the support of the Australian Marriage Forum, of which Dr van Gend is president, and former Toowoomba councillor Lyle Shelton from the Australian Christian Lobby . Only Choice - pull kids from School that promotes LGBT ideology

The Australian Christian Lobby welcomes news that the NSW government is considering an “opt-in” option for parents regarding the Safe Schools program following a debate in the Parliament yesterday. However, ACL NSW Director Mark Makowiecki said the move only practically applied to one aspect of the program, namely the controversial “ All of Us ” lessons. “What has been widely misunderstood by politicians and pundits is the fact that Safe Schools adopts a ‘whole-of-school’ approach, meaning that LGBTIQA themes are not taught in stand-alone lessons, but are woven into the curriculum and propagated through policies, posters and school assemblies ,” Mr Makowiecki said. “This fundamental misapprehension was evident in some of the speeches given yesterday in the NSW Parliament , as a 17,000 signature petition calling for the abolition of the Safe Schools program was being debated. “The “whole-of-school” approach is made clear, particularly in an early edition of the  Guid
