House Dems want to strip tax-exempt status from pro-family groups who oppose homosexuality

House Democrats are calling for 60 alleged “hate” groups, that include mostly socially conservative and some religious-based groups, to be stripped of their 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status for opposing, among other things, homosexuality, and LGBT ideology in general. On Thursday, the Oversight Subcommittee of the House Ways and Means Committee held a hearing on “How the Tax Code Subsidizes Hate,” in which Democrats sought to link accredited 501(c)(3) nonprofits to “hate” speech and violence. Democrats at the hearing expressed concern that the federal government is in effect subsidizing groups with which it is at odds. No legislation was proposed, however. The Ways and Means Committee have targeted pro-family groups like The American Family Association for its medically backed warning about the dangers of the homosexual lifestyle. Rep. John Lewis  (D), a veteran civil rights advocate, issued remarks saying the federal tax code “exempts some charitable and educational organization

Who is Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC)?

U.S. Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) is demanding that the IRS look into the tax status of the liberal hate group Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC). This extremist organization has managed to position itself among the leftist mainstream media as an arbiter of acceptable beliefs and actions, deeming those who are out of compliance with leftist group-think as "hate groups." Their stock in trade is defamation, and their target is primarily conservatives, especially groups that advocate a Christian perspective on contemporary social issues such as fake homosexual marriage. Many Christian ministries have frequently been in the crosshairs of the SPLC as a result of our advocacy for marriage, the biological nature of gender and our adherence to a biblical worldview of human sexuality. The SPLC has stopped short of declaring some Christian churches as  official "hate groups," but they have frequently defamed many ministries with charges of "intolerance," "anti-gay

Michigan’s lesbian AG investigating Catholic media org as part of ‘hate group’ crackdown

Michigan’s lesbian attorney general and the state’s Department of Civil Rights director are investigating organizations the left-wing Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) has deemed “hate groups.” One such group in their state is Catholic news service Church Militant, which reports on clerical sexual misdeeds and advocates adherence to the teachings of the Catholic Church. The SPLC has labeled Church Militant “anti-LGBT.” The law center lumps pro-life , pro-marriage, and Christian organizations in with neo-Nazis and the KKK as “hate groups.” Its “ hate map ” inspired a man to attempt a shooting rampage at the Family Research Council’s headquarters in 2012, the first incident of armed domestic terrorism in Washington, D.C. Attorney General Dana Nessel and Department of Civil Rights Director Agustin V. Arbulu say they are responding to the SPLC’s annual “hate map” report . They claim that the SPLC has documented an increase of “active extremist and hate organizations in Michigan.” Accor
