WASHINGTON, D.C. , August 30, 2013 ( Heritage Foundation ) - Just as families are getting ready to head out the door for a long holiday weekend, the Obama administration has rolled out new policies that disregard states’ authority over marriage and redefine marriage for a variety of federal purposes. The  U.S. Department of the Treasury and the IRS  and the  Department of Health and Human Services  put out press releases on Thursday announcing they’ll be recognizing same-sex marriage even in states that define marriage as the union of a man and a woman. The agencies announced that they will recognize same-sex couples as married provided that they were married in states that have redefined marriage, even if they now reside in states that retain the historical definition of marriage. As Treasury and IRS put it, “The ruling applies regardless of whether the couple lives in a jurisdiction that recognizes same-sex marriage or a jurisdiction that does not recognize same-sex marr

HIV increasing due to risky sexual sin or homophobia?

English: Diagram of the HIV virus. (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) Despite overwhelming medical evidence that AIDS is exponentially growing among homosexuals because of behavioral risks, the widely read medical journal Lancet is telling the medical community that " homophobia is a key driver" of the growing epidemic. And the Lancet is calling for the decriminalization of homosexual behavior and the removal of any stigma and discrimination attached to homosexuality. In a new series of papers, "HIV in Men Who Have Sex with Men ", Lancet delves deeply into the root causes of the HIV pandemic among homosexuals , analyzing the biological, behavioral , and structural risks that affect men having sex with men. ‘The bigotry question goes both ways,’ Catholic Gingrich tells pro-gay media

MANCHESTER, New Hampshire , January 13, 2012 ( LifeSiteNews.com ) - Although eager to point out “bigotry” by Christians who do not embrace gay rights, the media is strangely quiet about the increasing discrimination against Christians , according to Newt Gingrich . Gingrich delivered the remarks during a GOP presidential candidate debate in Manchester earlier this week, noting that the one-sidedness of the “bigotry” question demonstrates serious bias in the mainstream media. Newt Gingrich “You don’t hear the opposite question asked. Should the Catholic Church be forced to close its adoption services in Massachusetts because it won’t accept gay couples, which is exactly what the state has done?” Gingrich asked. “Should the Catholic Church be driven out of providing charitable services in the District of Columbia because it won’t give in to secular bigotry?” “Should the Catholic Church find itself discriminated against by the Obama administration in key delivery of services because

Gay Bullying

Since the  Charity Give Back Group  was forced to defend its financing of organizations like the Family Research Council and Focus on the Family, spokesman Kevin McCullough (who himself has propagated  virulent ant Image via Wikipedia i-gay rhetoric ) has stated that the campaign to have companies withdraw from the CGBG represents bullying. Tony Perkins , the president of the FRC, even said it was an attempt to  “censor” Christians . After Apple dropped out of the CGBG, which was previously known as the Christian Values Network, McCullough  told   The Christian Post , “We're not asking Apple to embrace our position or the other side's position. We just want them to stay neutral,” and the FRC is calling on activists to tell companies to “ remain neutral in the current cultural battles .” But by indirectly assisting the FRC and Focus on the Family, two of th Image via Wikipedia e major ‘culture war’ players, companies listed in the CGBG’s virtual mall are inadvertently finding
