(Photo credit: Wikipedia ) A special appeal panel at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) in Boston has upheld the hospital administration ’s earlier claim that a physician’s statements to colleagues and staff about the dangers of homosexuality constitute “discrimination,” “harassment,” and “unprofessional conduct,” and that Bible verses regarding homosexuality are similarly “offensive” and discriminatory . Dr. Paul Church has been a urologist on the BIDMC staff for nearly 30 years and is a member of the Harvard Medical School faculty. He has done research on diagnosing prostate and bladder cancer. He has also spoken on the subject of high-risk sexual behaviors. In recent years he voiced concerns to colleagues about the hospital’s aggressive promotion of LGBT events and activities. That angered the hospital administration. Expelled from staff for brin

‘Bringing people together’? Conservatives say gay ‘wedding’ at Rose Bowl was extreme

Image
WASHINGTON, D.C., January 3, 2014  – Pro-family activists are criticizing the Tournament of Roses Association (TRA) for letting two homosexual men use a float in the annual Rose Parade to conduct a gay "wedding" ceremony. The TRA allowed its parade “to be used to make a political statement in favor of a radical and controversial cause: the redefinition of marriage ,"  Family Research Council  Senior Fellow for Policy Studies Peter Sprigg told LifeSiteNews.com. Sprigg also criticized the AIDS Healthcare Foundation for sponsoring the float on which the “marriage” took place, telling LifeSiteNews, “it is clear that  the single change which would do the most to reduce the impact of AIDS would be for men to abstain from ever engaging in sexual relations with other men .” The Foundation  says  it is “the largest provider of HIV/AIDS medical care in the U.S.” and has “the sole aim of saving more lives.” In November 2013, the Center for Disease Control release

90% of new AIDS cases among college students in Chinese mega-city due to homosexual sex

Image
GUANGZHOU, China, – A doctor from a Disease Prevention and Control Center in the Chinese mega city of Guangzhou has said that 90 percent of all new HIV/AIDS cases among local university or college students are due to homosexual behavior . Dr. Xu Huifang said that MSM activity is the underlying factor in the majority of students reporting new infections,  reported   Xinhua . Huifang said the city has reported a total of 117 HIV/AIDS cases in 48 local colleges or universities since 2002. But director of the disease prevention center Wang Ming thinks the numbers are inaccurate since many infected college students do not get tested. “Therefore, the real number [of HIV/AIDS cases] may be much bigger," he said. Dr. He Haolan, who monitors contagious diseases at Guangdong No. 8 People's Hospital, said she has noticed increasing rates of HIV among college students. "It used to be very rare to see a college student come here for HIV tests, but it has become

W ASHINGTON, D.C. , December 5, 2013 ( LifeSiteNews.com ) – The federal government is considering changing its lifetime ban regarding blood donations from sexually active homosexuals. The news comes less than a week after the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) reports that in 48 states men who have sex with men (MSM) represent the  majority of HIV/AIDS sufferers . Today members of the HHS Advisory Committee on Blood and Tissue Safety and Availability will be hearing  seven presentations  on the issue. The committee  declined  to change the policy in 2010. Existing policy bars men who have had sex at least once since 1977 from donating blood for life, due to the high risk of exposure to HIV/AIDS.  Other countries , such as Spain and Italy, have lifted their bans. Australia, Brazil, Japan, and Britain have a one-year deferral after sex. Canada has a five-year deferral policy. The nation's major blood bank organizations – the American Association of Blood Banks (AAB

WASHINGTON, DC ,  – A new  report  from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) shows approximately  62 percent of gay men  who know they have HIV/AIDS continue to engage in sexual relations without using a prophylactic, a behavior that can spread AIDS.  The report, which was released on the Friday after Thanksgiving, analyzed data gathered in 2011.  According to the report, the percentage of men with HIV/AIDS having sex with other men without a condom had increased from 55 percent in 2005, to 57 percent in 2008, to 62 percent today. CDC spokesperson Nikky Mayes told LifeSiteNews.com in an e-mail that the “new analysis of data suggests concerning signs of sexual risk for HIV infection among gay and bisexual men in 20 major U.S. cities.” The surveys cited in the report examine men having sex with men (MSM) for a period of 12 months. In the report, many MSM said they tried to reduce their risk of HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted infections by only having sex with ot

Will homosexual marriage hurt my marriage?

Image
Same Sex Marriage (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) Cons of Same Sex Marriage - It hurts Heterosexuals Homosexual activists ask, “How would government-backed same-sex marriage hurt you?” Most conservatives have failed to answer this question, but it is not hard to foresee the following negative consequences on all Americans : Income taxes will be increased  to make up for the marriage tax benefits given to homosexual couples and to pay for the social costs resulting from the increase in illegitimacy. We provide financial benefits to married couples because they produce and care for children. Why should homosexual couples get the same benefits as men and women raising children? Moreover, providing financial incentives for homosexual unions would be doubly counterproductive. First, taxpayers would be subsidizing, and thus encouraging destructive behavior. Second, we then would pay for the results of that behavior in the form of increased medical and social costs. Social security taxe
