Politico: Gay donors/activists mainstay of Obama re-election effort

Politico reports that homosexual groups are compensating for the loss of enthusiasm (and donors) that Obama faces on the political left, and the White House is taking full advantage of the situation. Although deeply unhappy with the president for most of his term, homosexual activists have changed their tune since Obama repealed the 1993 ban on homosexuals serving in the military and dropped his administration’s defense of the 1996 Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA).
