Homosexuality in the UK

Image
I thought I would simply today catalogue some recent statements from various Christians about homosexuality. You will see that there is quite a  spectrum of opinion represented here, as I have explained previously. I have no intention of getting into this debate myself, but I think that it is important for all of us to understand just how broad the range of opinion is within the Church today on this subject. As an example of this range of views, Timothy Dalrymple , editor of Patheos Evangelical has argued Christians should treat gay marriage like say divorce rule s, an issue they may disagree on but don’t campaign for the rest of society to have laws matching their perspective. The past 50 years have been a time of incredible social change. In the UK 50 years ago homosexual activity was illegal. I know of nobody today who would suggest that should still be the case. But it is a measure of how quickly things have changed that in the USA , Louie Giglio a leading pastor can now be

Gay marriage

Much has been said about this post,  including a good bit of heat toward me for putting on the front. There is much that could be said. I disagree with a lot of the theology. In particular, I disagree with this: Is Homosexuality a Sin ? I. Do. Not. Care. Luke 10 tells the story of a legal expert who queried Jesus about what was required to inherit eternal life. Christ turned the question back on its questioner, and this man whose entire life revolved around studying the law of God summed it up in two points: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’; and, ‘ Love your neighbor as yourself.’”And Christ informed him that he had it exactly right. That’s what is required to be a follower of Christ. I’m not called to hunt down sinful people, or question the faith of my friends and neighbors, or try to wield the power of the government to enforce my convictions on others.I’m called to love God, and love them

Top Christian leaders targeted by gay activists for beliefs

Pastor Rick Warren at Saddleback Church. (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) Defending what the Bible teaches about homosexuality can often lead to public condemnation from gay activists. In recent years especially, Christians have been ridiculed and called bigots for their beliefs. Here are five well-known Christian leaders who have been targeted for their beliefs. Rick Warren When President Barack Obama invited Rick Warren, head pastor at Saddleback Church in Southern California and author of the best-selling A Purpose Driven Life , to deliver the invocation at his 2009 inauguration, gay rights activists were furious. About 100 protesters demonstrated outside Warren's church the Sunday before the inauguration. "There is no substantive difference between Rick Warren and James Dobson ," Kathryn Kolbert , then-president of People for the American Way , a liberal advocacy group, told CNN. "The only difference is tone. His tone is moderate, but his ideas are radical."

Homosexual Thought Police are coming to your church!

Many Christians and pro-family advocates were disappointed to learn that New York Jets QB  Tim Tebow  had backed out of a scheduled speaking engagement at the  First Baptist Church  in Dallas – following an online lobbying blitz by homosexual activists urging him to cancel because the church’s pastor is “anti-gay.” Last Thursday, Tebow  tweeted  that he was pulling out of the April 28 appearance with First Baptist  Pastor Robert Jeffress  “due to new information that has been brought to my attention.” A conflicted Tebow reportedly told the Texas pastor that he would like to speak at the Dallas mega-church at some point in the future, but “he needed to avoid controversy right now for personal and professional reasons,” the liberal  Daily Beast reported. The  Daily Beast  article is gratuitously headlined: “Tim Tebow’s ‘Hate’ Pastor Responds to Quarterback’s Withdrawal.” Turns out that Jeffress not only preaches that homosexual behavior is a sin — he also opposes Mormonism and

Obama declares God is wrong on homosexuality as he holds a Bible and takes an oath to God

Image
Obama took an oath over a Bible he deosn't read or believe in to a God he doesn't believe in. Then Obama declared while holding a Bible declared God was wrong on homosexuality.  Obama Homosexual sin does not exist  God : Read your Bible Obama has now under oath using historical Bible, which he either not read or has chosen to ignore, placed himself fully under the condemnation of Romans 1:18-25 by supporting homosexual sin. By using gospel language like brothers and sisters, half truths and deception, he has brought in a philosophy that of equality that is repugnant to scripture and God. This is a sad day for America. Sad day for Obama as he will stand before God one day and give an account for this deception.
