Parent Politician Argument for Lesbian Marriage - faulty logic

Image
An Australian politician advocating for gay marriage -my response in red The Fact My Daughter Can't Marry Is Unacceptable In 2016.  There is much being said about marriage equality and the plebiscite from both sides of the House. It is my view that this issue is fundamentally one of human rights and equality. Every citizen on this Earth deserves to be treated with dignity and respect and to have his or her human rights recognised and valued regardless of their race, religion, sexuality or culture. Except the fact that homosexuality is not a human right .  But for me, this is a deeply felt and personal issue. My husband and I have three wonderful children. The eldest is a young man who has a nine-year-old son and a four-week-old daughter; he is engaged to be married. Our second child is a daughter who is married and has two beautiful children; a seven-year-old daughter and a four-year-old son. And our youngest daughter is engaged to her same sex partner but ca

Gaybaby Movie Australia LGBT try forcing movie onto children

Gaybaby Movie In the last two weeks, two controversial activities have been pushed from class time in state schools. In NSW the Gayby Baby movie, an account of four children growing up with gay parents, was banned from screening to the whole of Burwood Girls High School , in the inner west of Sydney . In Victoria, Special Religious Instruction was pushed out of school time to before or after school or lunchtime. In both cases a band of passionate supporters was left feeling bereft. Both moves by the respective state ministers of education were swift, unexpected, and done with little consultation. Both moves left winners and losers. In Victoria, ACCESS Ministries appeared to lose and the anti-scripture lobby group won, and in NSW the parents and churches who complained about the movie emerged the victors while the school and the alumni who had made the movie and set a up “wear it purple” day in support of LGBT students lost. Both cases made living in Australia feel more like the USA

People can be ungrateful and ugly - same sex marriage

Brendan Eich, Mozilla Corporation Taken by AcidJazzed 03:14, 22 January 2007 (UTC) 11/21/2006 (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) It’s a couple of years since Javascript inventor Brendan Eich was hounded out of his job at Mozilla by a virtual mob of intolerant tweeters and campaigners. His crime? Failing to genuflect at the altar of gay marriage , which is now the closest thing our otherwise godless, belief-lite, morally vacuous societies have to a sacred value. For refusing to bow down before this new sainted institution, and for having the temerity to donate money to a campaign group opposed to it, Eich was found guilty by the mob of sacrilege and was hounded out of public life as a modern-day heretic. And in those four weeks, some gay-marriage backers, feeling more than a little red-faced, have called for the zealots in their camp to get a grip. The treatment of Eich was an example of what happens when bad-apple activists turn crazily self-righteous, they say. British-American writer

Demonise and censor: the winning strategy of the gay marriage movement

Gay couple at same-sex marriage march San Francisco 2008 (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) “Ireland’s tolerant elite now demonise anyone who opposes gay marriage” according to Brendan O’Neill, editor of Spiked magazine . Bernard Keane, political editor at Crikey, tweets his thousands of followers that Lyle Shelton , managing director of the Australian Christian Lobby and opponent of gay marriage, is “ a nauseating piece of filth ” (see tweet published around 10pm 23/05/15). As for me, I am a “bigot” in big red painted letters on the wall of my medical centre this week, courtesy of a local vandal who does not like my opposition to same-sex marriage. But wait, there’s more, according to a staff columnist in the Courier Mail who reminds the state of Queensland that I am not only bigoted but intolerant and “comically homophobic”. I beg to differ , as does my good friend Lyle Shelton and so many others who dare to stand up to the juggernaut of pro-gay intolerance, but it just rolls righ

Australians urged not to accept ‘illiberal’ gay marriage

Image
Two prominent same-sex marriage opponents have stressed that redefining marriage affects society at large, as the debate in Australia continues over changing the law. Brendan O'Neill , the Editor of online magazine Spiked , and marriage campaigner Katy Faust took part in a panel discussion on the Australian Broadcasting Corporation's Q&A programme. O'Neill detailed the "illiberal" attitude of same-sex marriage advocates and how they have targeted Christians. 'Horrendous' He argued that homosexual marriage presents itself as a liberal civil-rights issue, but that in reality, "it has this really ugly, intolerant streak to it". O'Neill said: "Anyone who opposes gay marriage is demonised, harassed. We've seen people thrown out of their jobs because they criticise gay marriage." He continued: "There are equality cases, shops have closed down, it's like a twenty first century form of religious persecution – it's

Homosexual Marriage: Welcome to the new Dark Ages

Image
Something terrifying has happened during the past five years: a belief that was held by virtually all human beings for centuries has been rebranded as bigotry , something that may no longer be expressed in polite society. That belief is that marriage is something that occurs between a man and a woman, or between a man and many women: the idea that marriage is a union of opposite sexes. This was once seen as a perfectly normal point of view. Now, in the historical blink of an eye, it has been denormalised, and with such ferocity and speed that anyone still brave enough to express it runs the risk of being ejected from public life. Consider the ABC’s   Q&A   this week , and the furious response to it. The show was unusual from the get-go because it featured not one but two gay-marriage sceptics: Katy Faust, an American Christian, and me, a godless Brit. I made the argument that gay marriage now seemed to play the same role God played 200 years ago: anyone who didn’

Biased - unbalanced Australian Government broadcaster - ABC

Image
Same Sex Marriage (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) ACL boss Lyle Shelton , who penetrated deep into the enemy territory of ABC Radio National . Pure gold: so focussed on the heart of the matter - being the fact that gay 'marriage' means gay PARENTING under international law, and that means a child of such a 'marriage' is forced - by an abusive Act of Parliament - to miss out on either their mother or their father. What is there to celebrate? Not to mention (as Lyle does) the profound consequences such as the state usurping the authority of parents in the moral education of their children; not to mention the state harassment (seen overseas) of individuals who believe marriage can only ever be a man-woman thing; not to mention Lyle's cut-through point that if you remove the criterion of gender from marriage, it is not logically possible to limit marriage by number. Gee, did the question of group marriage get Fran Kelly hopping and wishing she had got some tame gay ac

Homosexual zealots claim tolerance but attack Cory Bernardi's book 'Conservative Revolution"

Image
"We know the statistics - that children who grow up without a father are five times more likely to live in poverty and commit crime, nine times more likely to drop out of schools and 20 times more likely to end up in prison. They are more likely to have behavioural problems, or run away from home, or become teenage parents themselves. And the foundations of our community are weaker because of it.'' - President Barack Obama , Father's Day speech, 2008. Yes, we do know the statistics. But that hasn't stopped an avalanche of hate - and I use the word advisedly - being unleashed against Cory Bernardi for quoting and echoing the sentiments of Obama in his book  The Conservative Revolution  (Connor Court 2013). The big whisper going around now about Bernardi is that he is gay. The preposterous logic goes like this: Bernardi hates gays, he is obsessed by the subject, which means he is probably a repressed, self-loathing homosexual. Under fire: Cory Bernardi.

Cory Bernardi tells Malcolm Turnbull: stop advocating homosexual marriage or quit

Image
Photograph of Malcolm Turnbull, New South Wales Liberal politician. (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) The ABC online news is reporting that, Liberal Senator Cory Bernardi has called on former Liberal leader and current Communications Minister Malcolm Turnbull to stop publicly advocating gay marriage or quit the ministry. "If Malcolm Turnbull wants to talk about fringe issues outside party policy, he should resign from the frontbench," Senator Bernardi told the ABC. "Our longstanding party position is that marriage is between a man and a woman. Our frontbenchers need to reflect that in any comments they make. When you are a frontbencher there is no room for a personal view." Senator Bernardi correctly has identified that Turnbull is speaking publically contrary to party policy on homosexual marriage to either placate his Sydney pro- homosexual electorate or he is seeking to unseat the Prime Minister by causing a division in his own ranks.   Mr Turnbull lost the

Will the ABC Online present balanced reporting on the Homosexual Marriage debate?

Image
ABC chairman Jim Spigelman has sought to defend the national broadcaster against attacks from "conservative" critics, announcing a number of external audits to assess any bias in its reporting. If you look at the ABC Online "Analysis and Opinion" section every articleon Homosexuality is pro-homosexual in content and emphasis. Arguments against Homosexuality and homosexual Marriage are not presented anywhere in any of these opinion pieces . The numbers are staggering with regards to reporting homosexual events and contents in the news with no contrary views that most Australians hold. The spokesman for Marriage Equality is constantly being quoted and reported. This is beyond bias this is promotion of a lifestyle that is a choice, or fluid as one ABC article stated. The ABC decided that homosexuality is a human right. No articles appears that state homosexuality is an offence and sin against God. Even the reporting of the huge street marchers against homose
