Dr. Hans-Christian Raabe has been appointed to the Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs (ACMD), which advises the government on drugs policy in the UK .  But as medical co-coordinator of a Christian counseling organization, he has said that substance abuse is one reason the homosexual lifestyle is destructive. Peter and Hazelmary Bull own a bed and breakfast hotel in Cornwall. In September of 2008, a homosexual couple requested a single bed and was denied that accommodation by the Bulls. The couple sued, and last week a judge found the Bulls guilty of discrimination under Britain’s Equality Act of 2007. What makes this case particularly troubling is the nature of the judge’s decision. Image via Wikipedia Saskatchewan’s Premier Brad Wall last week defended his government’s  decision  not to challenge a non-binding court ruling saying that marriage commissioners must “marry” same-sex couples regardless of their religious views. The court’s judgment on the matter was clear, said Wall, according to the  Regina Leader-Post. “We appreciate and respect the rule of law and the role of courts in our society, especially in regards to the Charter, and so we’ve made our decision,” he said.  The court had said that allowing commissioners to refuse to perform same-sex “marriages” would send “a strong and sinister message” that “gays and lesbians are less worthy of protection as individuals in Canada’s society.” Faye Sonier, Legal Counsel for the Evangelical Fellowship of Canada , who has been fighting the case, expressed her disappointment with the government’s decision in  a letter  to Justice Minister Don Morgan .  “Our high court has consistently noted that the right

A Christian psychotherapist who was to appear before a professional conduct panel today has asked that the hearing be postponed while police investigate threats against a primary witness in the case. Lesley Pilkington, who counsels clients who want to leave the homosexual lifestyle, was due to appear before the review panel of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) after a complaint was made against her by a homosexual activist. Shortly before the hearing, the Christian Legal Centre reports, an expert witness who was to testify on Pilkington’s behalf received several “menacing” phone calls that included threats and intimidation telling him not to attend. The counselor has asked for an adjournment in the case and for police to be called in to fully investigate. Pilkington had been the object of a sting operation by undercover journalist Patrick Strudwick , who approached her to ask her for help with his sexuality. He had told Pilkington that he wanted
