Gay Right VS Religious Freedom Rights

Image
Deceptions about the actual voting process, rather than any claimed “misleading” data. George Brandis Evidence presented to the Senate committee shows that statutory protection of religious belief is weak both in federal law and a number of states. It mainly exists as “exemptions” from anti-discrimination law . The Anglican Diocese of Sydney made the obvious point to the committee that this failed to treat freedom of belief and religion as a fundamental human right. Marriage Alliance said: “We submit that religious freedom is a fundamental human right (and) that framing a debate in terms of exemptions misunderstands this fact.” There was strong support in submissions for parliament to legislate to enshrine religious guarantees as a protected attribute in federal anti-discrimination law. This is the pivotal point. The committee unanimously agreed there was a “need to enhance current protections for religious freedom”. The Human Rights Law Centre said: “ Religious freedom sho

Homosexual marriage is not inevitable

Image
There is a school of thought in the debate about redefining marriage that it is inevitable and that Christians should just sue for peace with the same-sex marriage activists. Try and extract as many protections for religious freedom as possible and roll over. To make it easier for us to capitulate, leading politicians such as Opposition Leader Bill Shorten , Attorney General George Brandis and Tim Wilson say same-sex marriage and freedom of religion can co-exist. “I don’t accept the religious practice in this country is under threat,” Mr Shorten said this week. What he is essentially saying is it is okay to go to church and believe what you like there. But what is under threat, and what Mr Shorten is not telling us, is that religious practice outside the church, mosque or synagogue is under grave threat should the definition of marriage in law be changed. Indeed, it is now Labor policy to use the law to punish anyone who does not conform to same-sex marriage ideolog

Parent Politician Argument for Lesbian Marriage - faulty logic

Image
An Australian politician advocating for gay marriage -my response in red The Fact My Daughter Can't Marry Is Unacceptable In 2016.  There is much being said about marriage equality and the plebiscite from both sides of the House. It is my view that this issue is fundamentally one of human rights and equality. Every citizen on this Earth deserves to be treated with dignity and respect and to have his or her human rights recognised and valued regardless of their race, religion, sexuality or culture. Except the fact that homosexuality is not a human right .  But for me, this is a deeply felt and personal issue. My husband and I have three wonderful children. The eldest is a young man who has a nine-year-old son and a four-week-old daughter; he is engaged to be married. Our second child is a daughter who is married and has two beautiful children; a seven-year-old daughter and a four-year-old son. And our youngest daughter is engaged to her same sex partner but ca

Yes Homosexual Marriage Impacts Every Single One of Us

Image
Everything changes when homosexual marriage is legalised. I have documented this basic truth countless times in my books and in numerous articles. Everyone is impacted and society is changed forever when we give legal recognition to this social fiction. When we allow the revolutionary assault on marriage by denying its most basic claim – marriage is composed of two different genders : male and female – we open a can of worms that cannot be closed. A genderless marriage means genderless families, a genderless society, and a state crackdown on all who might disagree. I have been quoting the activists concerning all this for decades now. They have spilled the beans and told us exactly what they intend. Consider just three such quotes. Lesbian activist Masha Gessen said to a Sydney audience in May 2012: It’s a no-brainer that we should have the right to marry, but I also think equally that it’s a no-brainer that the institution of marriage should not exist [cheers from th

Printer intimidated by book?

Image
A printer has reportedly pulled out from publishing a book on same sex marriage written by a Toowoomba doctor because of its controversial subject matter. Television host Andrew Bolt , speaking on Sky News , said the printer had previously agreed to print the book, which argues against homosexual marriage . The book, named "Stealing From a Child: The Injustice of Marriage Equality" was written by Dr David van Gend and is due to be officially launched at a function in Brisbane tonight. groups are planning to protest the book, arguing it is inflammatory and denigrates gay people. The book has the support of the Australian Marriage Forum, of which Dr van Gend is president, and former Toowoomba councillor Lyle Shelton from the Australian Christian Lobby . Australia: Bigotry and hatred has already started - but by whom?

Image
If you disagree with me over lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex politics, you are a homophobe . Disagree with my position on Islam, you are an Islamophobe. If you disagree with me on immigration, you are a xenophobe. Rather than engaging in debate, too many on the Left would rather portray disagreement on totemic issues as grounds for a mental disorder with the sole aim of shutting down any challenge to leftist orthodoxy. The same politics of deriding deplorables is endemic in Australia , especially in the same-sex marriage debate. The Greens and LGBTI activists claim that allowing Australians to decide whether marriage should be redefined would fuel harmful hate speech from same-sex marriage opponents.  Worse, the leaders of Australia’s alternative government succumbed to the lowest of low-rent politics. A plebiscite would lead to suicides, Bill Shorten said. Deputy leader Tanya Plibersek used a young boy named Eddie, the son of a same-sex couple, for politic

Demonise and censor: the winning strategy of the gay marriage movement

Gay couple at same-sex marriage march San Francisco 2008 (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) “Ireland’s tolerant elite now demonise anyone who opposes gay marriage” according to Brendan O’Neill, editor of Spiked magazine . Bernard Keane, political editor at Crikey, tweets his thousands of followers that Lyle Shelton , managing director of the Australian Christian Lobby and opponent of gay marriage, is “ a nauseating piece of filth ” (see tweet published around 10pm 23/05/15). As for me, I am a “bigot” in big red painted letters on the wall of my medical centre this week, courtesy of a local vandal who does not like my opposition to same-sex marriage. But wait, there’s more, according to a staff columnist in the Courier Mail who reminds the state of Queensland that I am not only bigoted but intolerant and “comically homophobic”. I beg to differ , as does my good friend Lyle Shelton and so many others who dare to stand up to the juggernaut of pro-gay intolerance, but it just rolls righ

Why has the Liberal Coalition of the Australian Government allowed homosexual marriages to occur in consulates in Australia?

Image
The Australian Government has agreed not to block same-sex marriages in UK consulates . These marriages are due to begin in June and will be open to couples where at least one partner has a UK passport . Australian Marriage Equality has been forcing the issue again to make consular marriages available in Australia .  This is a sneaky back door method of bringing into Australia immoral homosexual marriage . Australia does not permit gay marriage. The UK does but that is there problem they have created.  It means homosexual couples will have the choice against the will of Australians at the last election, to marry here. Why has George Brandis allowed this to occur when the previously Labor's Robert Macallem did not give permission?  Related articles Renewed outrage as Italy plans to close consulates in Brisbane and Adelaide Brit law helps same-sex couples wed in Australia Australia's Abbott to Challenge Same-Sex Marriage Laws in Court Federal Labor wants t

Messy ACT Homosexual Marriage Law will bring confusion depending on which state you reside

Image
Rainbow flag. Symbol of immoral homosexual sinful pride. (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) The High Court's two-day hearing of the Commonwealth 's case against the ACT government 's homosexual marriage law has begun. The landmark case before the full High Court bench is expected to decide whether or not the ACT has enacted a law that is in conflict with the federal marriage act and the federal family law act . The case is the first real test of whether or not states and territories can legislate for homosexual marriage. The logic that the ACT has presented would also allow in the future other creative relationship that mimic heterosexual marriage, such as bigamy.  Already the transcript of the hearing clearly portrays the mess that will be created if one territory is permitted to make it own laws like this. This was argued by incoherent laws applying in different states when living in a state that does not have the ACT homosexual law. The divorce history portrays this co

Brandis challenges Hanson-Young immoral illogical worldview

English: Sarah Hanson-Young, Senator for South Australia (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) ''It's an important step towards marriage equality,'' Greens senator Sarah Hanson-Young , who put forward the bill. ''We have couples now living in Australia who've gone overseas and gotten married . . . and they arrive back home at Sydney International Airport and all of a sudden they have to check their marriage at the customs gate.'' Thursday's bill would have changed a section of the Marriage Act that states that ''certain unions are not marriages''. The Act says that foreign weddings between ''a man and another man'' and ''a woman and another woman . . . must not be recognised as a marriage in Australia''. But Liberal senator George Brandis responded by saying there was something ''chillingly unpleasant about hearing [Greens] Senator Hanson-Young giving one of her emotional speec
