Did Israel Folau actually misquote the Bible? Hell, no

Image
John Tait B.Sc (Ed), M.Theol is a Melbourne writer and states in the Sydney Morning Herald :  Did Israel Folau actually misquote the Bible? Hell, yes John then gives us his credentials:  "As a former biblical studies major, and now agnostic it annoys me when Christians distort a biblical passage to preach their message"  What is John talking about?  John claim is this: Israel Folau has twisted Galatians 5:19-21 to say homosexuals will go to hell.  John then makes a second claim:  "Those who defend Folau by saying that he is just quoting the Bible are wrong. He is doing more than just throwing biblical quotes around. He is misusing this biblical passage by projecting judgments about homosexuality and "modern" beliefs about hell into it." Did Israel twist Galatians 5:19-20 to include homosexuality? What do these verses say? Galatians 5:19-20 The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcr

My husband became a ‘woman,’ and it ruined our marriage – and my future relationships

MELBOURNE, Australia , – What happens when a good Catholic girl marries the man of her dreams, and then he tells her he thinks he's a woman? It yields heartbreak and a lifetime of emotionally stunted relationships, according to an autobiographical essay in Sunday's  Sydney Morning Herald   that asks society to consider “the other side” of the transgender debate. The woman, whose name has been withheld, was 18 years-old when she met “ Ryan ,” a musician who slowly worked his way into her heart. His sense of humor made the self-described “good Catholic girl” fall for the young man, who was trying to get ahead in the 1980s Australian music scene. When he asked her to move to Melbourne with her, she had second thoughts. “I did not want to 'live in sin,'” she wrote. So, he asked for her hand in marriage. Although she believed their life was idyllic, he became sullen and withdrawn. Soon, he left her a letter saying he believed he was a woman trapped inside a

Confused lesbianians lured by homosexuals zealot legislation

Image
The Sydney Morning Herald reports that Emily Jehne and Ellie Filler were married in their backyard by some celebrant.  The 26-year-old medical student and 29-year-old teacher were among couples to wed under the ACT's same-sex marriage legislation, holding a brief ceremony in Canberra on Sunday. The couple have been together for almost a decade. The inference of this article is that the 29 years had a lesbian sexual relationship with a sixteen year old. The article does not mention family members who agree or disagree with this long term immoral relationship.  The question is recognizable by whom? Peers? The Apostle Paul condemns homosexuality and in fact identifies lesbianism first as the worst sin, and that God has given them over to their shameful lusts. Romans 1:26 "Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones." The Bible clearly says the wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men an

Sydney Morning Herald Editorial and Michael Kirby's Homosexual truth is not God's truth

Image
The Sydney Morning Herald decided to do an editorial on one of its own homosexual journalist demand for immediate changes to the marriage to all homosexuals to marry. This editorial is again like Andrew Webster's article full of emotion only. There is no logic, no supportive argument, just sentiment seeking to sway the public by emotion.  Will homosexual marriage bring equality and acceptance? The answer is clearly no. It will continue to divide people. Then legislative force will be needed to force people to marry homosexual against their will, like in New York and recently in France.  The homosexual lobby will then need to continue to lobby government just like the USA with its EDNA legislation plus other legislation to force people who do no agree with homosexuality to change their minds with regards to education and business. Homosexual advocates will need to attack churches, florists who refuse to offer then flowers on their wedding day, Christian businesses, c

Michael Kirby condemns a man to his own sin, not save him

This is perhaps one of the worst argument for  homosexual  marriage I have encountered. It is however an emotional argument that is seeking sympathy and loyalty to a cause. This article borders on an emotional rant, and hence it includes unfounded and arguments again of being born homosexual  a view supported only by  Lady Gaga , not genetists, theologians and most thinking Australians. Sydney Morning Herald got it wrong on Pope's Homosexual comments

Image
The Sydney Morning Herald (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) Mark Kenny from the Sydney Morning Herald incorrectly summarizes the Pope on homosexuality....as a relaxed attitude.  "When Tony Abbott was asked about Pope Francis' relaxed attitude to homosexuals, his response probably surprised breakfast television viewers. ''My sister, as you know, Christine is gay. I want her to be treated as every other Australian is treated and that's the Australian standard - we don't discriminate,'' he said." In fact, the Pope and the Churches position has not changed at all. Namely, homosexual acts are sinful. Homosexual activists are dangerous.  But a person committed to Christ , wants to serve God, loves God, may suffer temptation but chooses not to act on sinful sexual desires.  Is that a relaxed attitude towards homosexuals? At least TIME magazine got it right. The Pope hasn't changed at all. Read more:  http://www.smh.com.au/federal

Atheist Anglican adopts homosexual marriage

Image
There is a growing controversy coming out of a local church in New Zealand after they put up a billboard advertisement that supports same-sex marriage. Reports coming out of New Zealand indicate that a liberal Anglican church in Auckland is behind a billboard that supports same-sex marriage by depicting two female figures in bridal gowns on the top of a wedding cake with the caption: "We don't care who's on top." Biblical opponents of the proposed legislation insist that laws in New Zealand currently grant equality and that the issue was not about equality, but rather, the uniqueness of traditional heterosexual marriage. "Equality doesn't mean sameness … marriage has always been about the relationship of a man and a woman because of their natural potential to have children," Bob McCoskrie, founder of Family First, said in a statement. The church, St. Matthew-in-the-City, revealed that it produced the billboard advertisement recently in order to exp
