Pete Buttigieg says God is offended by Pence view on homosexuality

Image
The former South Bend mayor believes he found his faith as a student on a Rhodes scholarship in Oxford, England, and upon returning to Indiana, he became a member of the Cathedral of St. James, part of the Episcopal Church.  WHEN A CHURCH BECOMES LIBERAL THAN APOSTATE The Episcopal Church promotes the sin of homosexuality and because of this, the Bible would condemn this group outright, as apostate. They can do, perform, act like a church but they are not. Pete and Chasten was married there, a step Buttigieg said moved him “closer to God.” But the God to whom he is referring is not the God of scripture. THE PERSON RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS MORAL CONFUSION The denomination had evolved on same-sex marriage and even elected an openly gay bishop, the Right Rev. Gene Robinson. Today, on all accounts this church is apostate, which means they have denounced historical Christianity, biblical creeds, Christians morals, key biblical texts, gone with culture and now they pretend t

United Methodist Church proposes split over LGBTQ impasse

Image
The United Methodist Church has proposed to split in order to resolve an impasse between two factions within the church that have not been able to agree on gay marriage and clergy. If passed, the proposal will restructure the church and create a new denomination for "traditionalist-minded biblically-based congregations." A 16-member group of bishops and church leaders signed the proposal in December and released the nine-page plan titled, "Protocol of Reconciliation & Grace Through Separation," on January 3.  If passed during the church's 2020 general conference, set for May 5-15 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the proposal will allow churches that disapprove of homosexual marriage and clergy to break off from what will become an apostate church. "The United Methodist Church and its members — after careful reflection, discussion and prayer — have fundamental differences regarding their understanding and interpretation of Scripture, theology and prac

Deceived deluded apostates react to Nashville Statement

Image
Hundreds of homosexual leaders, deceived gay pastors, gay theologians and advocates have denounced what they call the vicious, anti-LGBTQ manifesto “ Nashville Statement .” Deceived homosexuals who believe God loves and approves of their sin, responded with a liberal  statement affirming , sinful LGBTQ lifestyle and intersex people who believe in God don't need to repent of their sin as God accepts their lifestyle choice.  The 10-point treatise, titled Christians United , holds the following big lies of these apostate groups: “that every human being is created in the image and likeness of God and that the great diversity expressed in humanity through our wide spectrum of unique sexualities and gender identities is a perfect reflection of the magnitude of God's creative work.” In the first 24 hours of its release, the Christians United statement was signed by over 1,000 confused Christians from around the world, including gay theologians and leaders of some of the wo

Apostate Christians - Homosexual Marriage

Image
In an  interview  this week, Christian best-selling author Eugene H. Peterson said he would be willing to officiate at a same-sex marriage . In saying so, he joins a prominent group of Christians whose views on same-sex marriage and LGBT issues have evolved into apostasy. WHAT IS APOSTASY ? The term designating the falling away (Gk. apó “away from” and stásis “rebellion”) from the faith. At 2 Thess. 2:3 Paul (himself once accused by the Jews of apostasy from the Old Testament teachings; Acts 21:21) predicts a general apostasy (“rebellion”; KJV “falling away”) from the gospel of Christ. Subsequently he writes to Timothy that “in later times” some “will depart from the faith” and heed the “doctrines of demons” (1 Tim. 4:1). In many respects his picture of this future event is remarkably similar to Christ’s own prophecy about the spiritual cooling-off of people’s love for God and neighbor (“fall away,” Gk. skandalizō; Matt. 24:10–12). A passage is Heb. 6:4–6, seems to imply

Mark Achtemeier "Bible says to Gay Marriage" - Unconvincing Revisionist Argument

Image
The title of Mark Achtemeier’s The Bible’s Yes to Same-Sex Marriage: An Evangelical’s Change of Heart leaves no doubt as to his conclusion. Achtemeier, a Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) pastor and theologian, wants to lead his readers toward the same “change of heart” that caused him to embrace same-sex marriage. He writes graciously and gently. But his book will be persuasive only to those who already agree with him. Though he aims to make a biblical and logical case for same-sex marriage, the book fails on both counts. Hollow Definition of Marriage Like many revisionist treatments of this subject , Achtemeier is anxious to get to the proof texts. He wants to show that the seven classic Bible passages used to condemn homosexuality have been misunderstood and misapplied . In his haste to do so, however, he completely misses the most important step of the argument: a coherent definition of marriage. If we’re going to argue about who should be married, we should first establish what mar
