Mike Quigley of Illinois and Katie Hill of California, the only self-declared “bisexual” in the U.S. House, acted in response to comments that Dr. Carson made to HUD employees in San Francisco expressing concern about “big, hairy men” pretending to be female in order to infiltrate women’s homeless shelters. To date, twenty states and many cities have made it illegal to offer therapy for minors unless it affirms the LGBT agenda — and several more are considering similar bans. In these jurisdictions, therapists may help a child or teen accept same-sex attraction or different gender identity, but they will not help a teen who aspires to change his same-sex attraction or sexual identity.
