From Amazon.com I f I had been asked to give an account of the Matthew Shepard incident a week ago, my answer would have gone something like this: over ten years ago in some hick town of middle America a young innocent gay student was tortured and left to die crucified on a fence.  His assailants were two intolerant rednecks incapable of dealing with the uncomfortable presence and activities of people like Shepard in their town. Then last week I downloaded  The Book of Matt: Hidden Truths about the Murder of Matthew Shepard   by Stephen Jimenez.  Everything I thought I knew about the case flew out of the window.  Jimenez is an openly gay journalist who went to Laramie , Wyo to research information for a potential production on Matthew Shepard.  During his research he came across information that contradicted all he thought he knew about the story.   After ten years of honestly digging for the truth he gives us a new understanding of the events.  Some key points: S

Immoral Obama introduced at Gay Pride event by third graders

At a White House event celebrating " Gay Pride Month " yesterday, President Obama was introduced by two third grade twins who are being raised by a lesbian couple. Nine-year-old twins Zea and Luna told the assembled crowd that last December they wrote the president a letter in which they asked for more funding for schools and better gun control. They also said they asked for the president’s support for gay marriage, “because we have two moms and they are just as good as other parents.”  In  his following remarks , the president touted his administration’s numerous overtures to the gay rights movement , including the recent appointment of open lesbian Nitza Quinones Alejandr to the judiciary. Matthew Shepard (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) In what is being acknowledged even by liberal Catholics as a courageous move, Springfield, IL Bishop Thomas Paprocki debated dissident nun Sr. Jeannine Gramick on the topic of gay “marriage” before a decidedly gay-friendly crowd on Friday. In a shocking revelation in his opening remarks, the bishop told the crowd that his former secretary was brutally murdered by a gay activist simply for suggesting that he change his lifestyle.
